Fruits Basket Ending (Manga) (Likely Spoilers)

I just finished it...I'm sure many of you know what I mean, but I can't believe a happy ending could be so sad. I mean, ARGH I am having such a hard time wording this... It was a happy ending, but I still feel sad...is it because such a great story had to end, just like the ever-famous Banquet of God? God this post sounds so corny, but it was such a great story that I guess I needed somewhere to vent. Was it just me that felt this way, or is there something about Fruits Basket that seems to evoke this kind of emotion in those who read it? To summarize my wandering mess of a post, anyone else affected by this manga?
