Well, i've seen quite a few myself. You know, those slow-paced anime, filled with warm feelings. The ones i know are: Aria Winter Garden Someday's dreamers Kokoro Toshokan... Maybe i can include Ai Yori Aoshi, Video Girl Ai, Petopeto-san and first ToHeart too, but i'm more interested about something like the above than those. Something like about someone, chaising some goal or something or like some short christmas romance. Anyone knows of any? |

Just watched the first episode today... well, it can be included to the bottom group, along with Petopeto-san and VGA, but what i'm searching for is something similar to the upper four :) |

Do you mean series that are mostly about character development & story with very little else happening...a true dramatic series? Well one i can think off the top of my head is Kiminozo but i assume you've already seen that. Series like Seraphim Call or Sentimental Journey (Graffiti) may be something to check out. One of my faves though not alot of people have seen it is Yume de Aetara (If i see you in my dreams), the OVA is better than the short TV series. Mostly about a hard-luck guy who is bad in relationships but meets the 'girl of his dreams'...the main guy is similar to Keitaro or Keiichi cause he is reluctant to make a move on the girl (even though the girl does like him). There are some beautiful moments in the series like the 'fireworks' scene in episode 2. Only has 3 episodes (including a Xmas one) but a sweet series. The manga is much more in-depth & continues the story...17 volumes so pretty lengthy. Another though not as slow as others cause of its sci-fi aspect is Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu. 6 epiosdes of pure bliss & warmth between Iriya & Asaba. The first few episodes are nicely paced but the last episode as usual is beautiful. A hidden gem that has novels which were nominated for a scifi award in japan. A very slow series in my opinion but really good is Key:the metal Idol. Contains 15 episodes that has some cool music to boot. The story is quite complicated to explain but it may interest you. It's a often serious drama that can be quite dark with a mix of scifi & supernatural aspects. Try it to see if you like it. The Memories Off series is a nice romantic anime that deals mostly with relationships. There is no scifi, supernatural, action in it at all. The heart is a pure romance series. I've seen almost all of them except for Memories Off 5 (the unfinished film) OVA which is the contiuation of Memories Off 5. That is all i can come up with for the time being, i'll add more when i remember them. |
