(i hope i can post this here O.o; if not i'm terribly sorry!) well i'm doing my media project at college on anime so i was wondering if some people would be able to help me out with a few questions? =) theres not that many and it would be really helpful for me if some people would answer some! ^-^ i'll put them here so please post back with responses to it! m(-.-)m 1) approximately how many hours of anime do you watch a week? 2) what is your favorite anime film/series? 3) Have you seen many Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli or Osamu Tezuka films or series? (please answer: mostly Miyazaki, mostly Tezuka, none of either, or some of both.) 4) in either films/series by these directors, who would you say the main characters are? (children, teenagers, adults or other) 5) Do you think in general anime, children are seen as being bad or good? 6) do you think children in anime are stereotypical? 7) do you think children in anime are generally normal kids or have some kind of power? if so, what kind of power would you say is the most common? 8) is there anything else you would like to mention about children in anime? 1. at least 6 hour 2. my top 5 is Clannad, ef - a tale of memories/melodies, Byousoku 5 cm, Air, Elfen Lied 3. mostly Miyazaki 4. Children 5. Good 6. Depend on genre, mostly yeah 7. Hard to say, if its Shonen they definitely have some power. Other than that mostly normal 8.

1. 7-10 or even more 2. almost anything with a slice of life genre. 3. mostly Osamu Tezuka. 4. most of Tezuka's work that I saw is composed of all age group. 5. good 6. not lately they're becoming more and more varied, well in most anime that I watch anyway. I was expecting this and that but they tend to be different. 7. 50/50 I think magic is the most common. 8. thing about mental and physical age thing. where they tend to mature mentally at an early age. |

1) depends, from 0 to 10, with an average of 4-5 hours. Nowadays, I'm more to reading mangas 2) family animes (doraemon, crayon shinchan, chibi maruko-chan) and super robots, but Doraemon is still on the top of my list 3) some of both 4) children 5) good 6) um, yes sadly 7) most of them are normal, shonen animes' children have powers of course, be it magic or psychic abilities 8) ---

1) usually 1-3 hours. but on holidays it's 5-6 hrs 2) hmm too many to list...comedy ones and mecha 3) some of both 4) children 5) good 6) it varies 7) depends on type of anime...usually fighting/magic-ish abilities 8) some of them tend to be mature earlier than supposely, other than that they're kinda like normal (aside from some anime that have abilities or whatnot).  |

1) My current? 2 hours worth of anime per day (do teh math) 2) Major. (I've been helding back on bleach since it's getting kind of.. erk) 3) Some of both. 4) Children and early teens 5) I often see good... but I'm sure there are bad ones. 6) Mostly... even though they go all strong and teh "one" 7) Since I've seen more normal kids in anime.. I'll say normal. 8) nah...

(children, teenagers, adults or other) A: Children. I think. 5) Do you think in general anime, children are seen as being bad or good? A: Well, good,of course. They're seen as the pure, innocent saviors of the adults who find a means of absolution in them. 6) do you think children in anime are stereotypical? A: Perhaps not. 7) do you think children in anime are generally normal kids or have some kind of power? if so, what kind of power would you say is the most common? A: Generally normal kids. But if they do have power, I'd say it would be Haley Osment's "I see dead people" power. 8) is there anything else you would like to mention about children in anime? 1) around 9 hours. 26 episode series would only take me that long to finish everything. 2) Vampire Knight for now. my fave anime depends on my mood. but for now it has to VK! 3) Never =] 4) probably the pet?! noo. one of the children then ;p 5) yes they r. adorable creatures like them can never be seen as bad. 6) i dont think so! 7) they r just normal to me though. all of them like normal children hev the ability to cheer people up. Dx -non-sense- 8) charming! adorable yet some r annoying

1) approximately how many hours of anime do you watch a week? A= Depending on the length of the anime and how much spare time I have . But most of the time I watch the whole anime in a day (..... psycho XO !) 2) what is your favorite anime film/series? A= Too many XO , but as long there's no 'rubbish' in the anime , I like all equally . 3) Have you seen many Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli or Osamu Tezuka films or series? (please answer: mostly Miyazaki, mostly Tezuka, none of either, or some of both.) A= Mostly Miyazaki 4) in either films/series by these directors, who would you say the main characters are? (children, teenagers, adults or other) A= Children or Teenagers most of the time . 5) Do you think in general anime, children are seen as being bad or good? A= Good most of the time . Too much bad means too much naughty kids in real world (bad influence) 6) do you think children in anime are stereotypical? A= So - so , but drifting to yes lately =__=* 7) do you think children in anime are generally normal kids or have some kind of power? if so, what kind of power would you say is the most common? A= Depends on the genre (or theme) . 8) is there anything else you would like to mention about children in anime? (optional) A= Let the childrens in the anime be childrens (meaning no adult feats , traits or whatsoever) . Looks odd when they do so in the anime and might look even more odd-ish when children in real life follow them =__=* |
