Anime trend that you woul like to see stopped?

| I'm tired of seeing the same old one guy gets hit on by 4 or 5 different females that he can't choose from. Unless it ends up like School Days. Also, prevy old man needs to stop. |

I like to see the same old one guy gets hit on by 4 or 5 different females that he can't choose from. unless it ends up like School Days -> this was serious I'd rather eat up harem anime than seeing school days or kiminozo or ef, at least they doesn't defiled the girl. pervy old man... well that might be good too. indecisive guys also.. (I'm looking with one that got principal) one that cannot be pushed around

well actually school days is the only anime that know that ended that way. I know it gets kind a old if you watch too much of it. if I get tired of a certain genre I just look for others. hey there are still those new to the anime world, at least let them experience those kind of story. there are a lot of animes out there and believe me all of them uses a certain trend that is over used to the fans of that genre. I for one almost got tired of fighting animes like nauto, DB, flame of recca, Yuyu, etc. been watching them since elementary and they are all pretty long. Some of them I haven't even finished watching or watched completely. I'm now looking for slice of life and those animes that have a very complex relationships. I have only watched 4 or more of those 1 guy lots of girls that he can't chose form. So I'm not yet over them. or even just simple stories as long as they are not the same as those I watched before. Like Binchou tan or Mirmo. I was actually hooked with Pretty Cure once. But my schedule did not match the air time. |

I'm pretty satisfied, for the most part with how anime is made these days. Maybe small things can change like inconsistent animation/artwork quality and those cheesy lines we hear oh so often. Even now in good, enjoyable animes I like, it's starting to get really old just because it's very repetitive now. I can't categorize these as "trends", but they're quite common in almost every anime.

Well, come to think of it, there's a lot of series, where the loser main guy suddenly gets an extremely beautiful girl living with him (childhood friend, fiancee, wife, slave). Usually that becomes a harem later, as he gets suddenly overly popular. But i don't have anything against that type. So if i think of it, the only type i'm against is ecchi, as it seems as if they're trying to cover lack of plot with various 15+ scenes, that only annoy me. Well, i'm a guy, so naturally i hate yaoi. And come to think of it, i hate yuri anime too, but only because i haven't seen any nice examples of it, and the ones i saw were too annoying(Like Marimite, where they're all high class and stupidly refined). So, harem, moe, mecha, action, adventure, music, cooking, romance, romance-comedy, comedy, parody, slice of life, mystery, science-fiction even detective stories - come, i'll consume you all :D @Hearms: By principal you mean something like decisive, or stubborn or the one who one, who as you said cannod be pushed around? In that case i can recommend S-cry-ed, Gensoumaden Saiyuki, Bastard! and Samurai deeper kyo. |

ya im tired of that scenario too, ive seen lots of 1 guy 5 girls and in the end the other girls end up getting their feelings hurt. just to name a few school days he also banged their moms green green tv shuffle! kanon AirTV SetoNoHanayome ToLoverU HayateCombatButler ef tale of memories tsukihime fatestaynight RosariotoVampireCapu2 etc.. sadly there are more i havent seen im just happy its not 1 girl and 5 guys cause it might lead to gangbang maybe I personally hate yuri too cause it leads to futanari which is sick.  |

Exactly right. I fully agree with taichoukeroro, in that futanari is S-I-C-K. But I'd like pretty much all fan service to stop. It's so obvious.  --> |

fan service definitely they tend to give my favorite characters a bad image. there are a bunch of 1 girls many guys stories out there. there is fushigi yugi, fruits basket, ayashino ceres. but in the end the rest of the guys ends up with some body else or just became friends. about school days it your fault you chose that path. I guess the creators made so many bad paths so that you can enjoy the best ending the most. well that's my opinion though. |
