hi everyone! have you ever been ask by someone to stop being an animé fanatic or animé addict and just grow up and be a normal citizen of the world? right now im 18.and my parents want me to stop being such an animé fanatic beacuse i'm just too old for those kind of thing! (as if im going to stop)MWAHAHAHAHAH!!!! well people i want to know if this ever happened to you...  ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

Yep, I have been. But they stopped when I showed them that a person can be mature and smart while also being an anime fan. |

But being a normal citizen is too boring! You'll seem like everyone else, lol. :p Heh ya, acting sophisticated like an intelligent person will make people doubt you ever watch anything like that. I guess people think that it is wierd seeing an adult watching anime. I guess it would be if a older man started attempting to make overexaggerated expressions... 0_o |

Yah, my mom said that too, but i returned the question by asking her to stop watching her soap operas too. After that, everything seemed to much more peaceful (mutual undestanding) I continue to watch anime and listen to it's music while she continues to watch her favorite soap opera.  |

I get those situations very often too ><' but sometimes they have nothing to say about it cause i usually learn something from it. After i watched initial D (first stage to 3rd stage) 5x. My father started to see me improve in driving alot better (I was like "What the...")

i wouldn't say that i'm an animé otaku though...i barely have anime dvds and i don't go to conventions...so i wouldn't say im an anime otaku. JUST an ADDICT!LOL hehehe!!! Well my parents just doesn't like me to waste my money in animé...and just grow up...hahah anyway keep those post coming..i like to hear some more JA ne! ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

| I m an anime fan and I havent actually been ask to stop being a fan. I believe that there is nothing wrong with being true fans of anime as long as we do not forget our priorities. Obligations have to be fulfilled first. Then we ANIME!!! |

^_^ I think there's nothing wrong if a smart and mature person watches anime. It's meant to be enjoyed and appreciated right? ^_^ And I think being mature and being an anime fan at the same time is very interesting. You get to see that the person is more than meets the eye...that he/she isn't boring after all. That makes him quite enigmatic and different...^_^ |

well my parents never asked me that. and besides im not a totally anime addict nor a boring person that dosent know the fun in anime. im in the middle. and my parents always say i can do whatever i want juz get good grades in school. hehehehe thats easy whahahaha. but im 4th yr now is Physics hard? or is it easy?

Well for me cause i aint that good in that subject. Although its kinda cool because it teaches you to calculate many things like the force of a bullet etc. By the way, everytime my teacher talks about vectors, images from Elfen Lied suddenly appears in my brain. hehe, watching anime is one of those things i look forward to after school is over. |

Steve...Physics...gives my head a hard time...well, it sure have lots of formulas...then there's deriving formulas to get this other formula...it's kinda chemistry in a way...just listen carefully to your teacher...and try sharing knowledge with your classmates...you should try to focus on your studies for this year. reminds me how my heads swirls around when i'm doing problem solving*sighs* -_- ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

Try telling them aren't they the immature ones still thinking that anime are just for kids??? Hobbies are hobbies. You cannot stop someone to do what they like that is why we have this "freedom" we call. Just don't spend your whole life on anime.  |

Yep. I've been asked that quite sometimes. And i'm only 14... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh... But me parents' deal is that as long as my grades don't go down. But the thing is, it is. So i've been thinking for the past few weeks trying to sort out my time, so i won't neglect both areas. Besides, i can use me grades to get my parents get me some manga. =D

Alot of people say I'm wasting my life watching those "silly cartoons" Anime is NOT a cartoon! It is a way of LIFE!! Being normal is scary that's why I take pride in being called a weirdo! Thats why my parents won't get me BoF T.T NooooOoOOoOOoooOooO!

I dont really see how watching anime is immature. Lots of animes are too complex for kids to understand, like Serial Experiments Lain. Even the Gundamish series are pretty complex. If you take out the crazy robots and stuff being blown up, young kids probably couldnt follow it or would even be interested. Cartoons like bugs bunny are for kids and anime is for grown ups. I dont even watch bugs bunny lol. |
