I think it's an incredibly stupid idea which further proves that the Sonic Team has no clue how to make a game anymore. The Sonic portion of the game with the running and the switching between 3-D and 2-D playing fields is good, and it's a step in the right direction, but then they take two steps backwards with the Were-hog portions of the game. It's simply slow and repetitive, a stark contrast to what Sonic is and why it was fun in the first place. The Sonic parts are a little Too fast however, you can barely react to anything on the track when it wants you to, and when you don't it completely breaks flow (The Press O to slide under wall parts come to mind) |

Sonic hasn't had a true hit in 3D, ever. Well maybe Adventure.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Are you guys talking about Sonic Unleashed?? Well... I haven't play it though... but I can tell the game is cool. To be honest, I used to be a fan of Sonic, but I left Sonic because the game released in PS3, and I don't have PS3 T_T Sonic Unleashed released in PS2... but I haven't seen them until now in my country... T_T the were-hog?? is it the werewolf like sonic in the sonic unleashed?? If yes, I think the were-hog is a bit weird looking monster and I prefer sonic when he is normal... -- My Avatar X Signature Shop is currently [CLOSED] -- Check my profile for more information Links : Any Indonesian, Here! | Avy X Sig | My tutorial thread |

it's retarded, a were-hog??? c'mon now sega can do much better than this (or not) if they left it the way it was from the first trailer for this game came out. this GAME could've gotten a good freaking review but y'know sega insists on sucking more but it's alright if they don't bring it back the way it was back in 1991 |

I'm just gonna leave this here, because this guy nails it pretty close to what my opinion on Sonic is. Only I didn't like the first games either. Contains a couple of F words. You're on the internet, you should be able to handle it. Seems their embed isen't working at the moment. |

I think the idea would be more appealing to that of a younger audience. The game seems to be split into two parts: night (Were-hog) and day (Sonic), though I wonder how a hedgehog turns into a werehog all of a sudden. Oh wells. :D The more fun part seems to be during the day since it's where Sonic runs around and captures rings, etc. This is what Sonic has been known for doing for years and what Sonic is all about. I was just watching some gameplay-in level videos of the game, and indeed the two parts are totally different in comparison. Although I haven't actually played it and can't really judge the game itself, it does seem fast for the Sonic parts. I would imagine it would be a bit difficult for the younger audience, but the computer seems to help you during the runs to some degree. The Were-hog parts appear as easy and the enemies doesn't seem to oppose of anything of a threat whatsoever (they remind me of Heartless in KH). The game looks like two games in one, since there are two ideas of Sonic in one game. I think they should split it and have the Were-hog idea on its own and see how that goes. I think kids would love the Were-hog idea since it's toned at a pace they could play at and the controls seem easy to maneuver with. So if you're asking me about the Were-hog form of Sonic, I would think it would appeal more to the younger audience. I'd give this game a try if it was like an in-store "try out" or if a friend had it and I came over. I used to play the old games a lot, on the old Sega, too. Seeing them now, I'd still love to play 'em if I could. XD I feel bad for Sonic fans though. Sonic has been trying to rebuild in the past few years, and is almost desperate for ideas for success, but haven't gotten that much lately. :/ ------- |
