Worst Dubs in anime

There are some anime that are excelent when you hear them in Japanese, but once the English version comes out and you hear it, ITS ALMOST LIKE YOUR EARS BLEED!(over-exaduration) Well imput your opinions on which anime has the worst dubs ever. |

| I think that Inu Yasha has a different vibe (?) Dubbed. I think it's Kagome's voice that sounds off. On a different note, I watched Kiki's Delivery Service in Japanese for the first time and i have to say that i perfer JiJi's voice in english! |

| The english dub destroyed what could have been a wonderful show. They edited it so much the story stopped making sense and the voice actors sounded terrible. |

I've heard they've even edited the episode sequence in the states in Card Captor Sakura. They don't even call it that way there they call it Card Captors. Lee somehow equals Sakura there. *sigh* i've also had the chance to borrow evangelion's perfect collection dvds. i have to say i prefer the subtitled scenes from the dubbed ones. though kaji's voice was better in english and the character playing asuka in english spoke better german. i've filtered through the japanese, english, french, spanish, filipino (from tv), and chinese (through vcd) dubs (yep im an Eva fan ^_^) and no one really captures shinji's screams like Megumi Ogata. |

Yea, the Cardcaptor Sakura dub was pretty bad. I could understand some of the smaller edits, (Li to Lee, Rika to Rita, ect.) but changing the order of the episodes completely screwed everything up. The Watery Card episode took place after the Firey Card episode in the American dub, but Sakura needed to use Watery to capture Firey. (O_o) Nelvana also skipped the first 8 episodes so that Li could be Sakura's equal. |

Well yea that they took out the episodes for the Card Captors session, but don't forget they show it on TV(long ago) and the Card Captors Sakura Verison has things that can not be seen on TV. Sometimes i also think that the reason why they didn't dub the Card Captors Sakura Verison was that it wasn't getting that much vote and didn't want to make it worse. ^_^ myu

It Had to be Cardcaptors. I mean INHO they pick some decent va's (voice actors) but they completely brutified the script.  |

| Yuck!!! WORST dubbing ever would have to be Strange Dawn, what were they thinking?! English accents?! I know that Urban Vision used the British version. Wonder why they didn't continue it. They made a great anime turn awful. It makes me soo mad. |

I have to say, of all the dubs I have seen, YAMI NO MATSUEI(Descendants of Darkness) TOPS THE CHARTS. Never watch it dubbed, I warn yee. It's an AWESOME anime, but, I cannot stand Tsuzuki's English voice. I know when it comes to dubbing, a few cultural and line structure points suffer, but come on, many talented people put lots of effort into these things. They can't help the way their voice sounds. I try to give dubs a chance. Besides, subtitles hurt my eyes after a while.

I think the worst dubs would have to be DBZ, Card Captor Sakura and some of the anime movies. Like for the Yu Yu Hakusho Movies *both of them* there voices sound like crap. And then there's the Card Captor Sakura Movies *shivers then sits in the corner rocking back and forth* |

rurouni kenshin's dub sucks, it almost pisses me off i didn't like cowboy bebops at first either, but i got used to it. |

I think Kagome's voice is extremely annoying! (dubbed of course) It sounds like a 9 year old trapped in a 15 year old's body......One dubbed anime I think is not so good either is Sailor Moon because everyone sounds like a Beverly Hill prep!!!

I'd have to go with Saint Seiya/Knights of the Zodiac. I also don't like the voice of Shugo from .hack//LEGEND OF THE TWILIGHT much either.

I guess it would be Knights of the Zodiac than. God that show has one hell of a horrible dub. The voices are just plain terrible.

WORST dub ever done was Yu-gi-Oh!!! I watch the japanese version and it kicked ass!! 4Kids totally butchered it. They also ruined Pokemon....literally! and Shaman King too. 4Kids' the worst company ever! XP

umm...i think it would be gundam seed...i hated how they said their names and not all their voices matched their characters. cant think of any dubbed all that bad though... |
