Which movies do you have in your collection? Whether they are ones you love, kind of liked or hated and wish you hadn't bought, what titles are finding a current residence on your shelf, in your cabinet or part of your stack? Note: Please list movies you own in physical form(VHS, VHC, Mini-DV, DVD, any form as long as it's a 'hard copy'). If you want to list the ones on your hard drive then notify that you have it downloaded or in their own separate heading. You can list movies in your family collection or whatever, you don't have to own them personally, so bro's, sis's, moms and dad's can be listed too. I have a few, although I usually rent movies I'm not sure about. I watch most of the movies I've seen on TV. As for VHS's, it seems my family has countless Jackie Chan movies (old school). I even saw a Sailor Moon VHS and maybe a few Jet Li ones, too. The other ones are just Vietnamese concerts like Paris by Night or something. My mom has like a hundred of those in her personal collection in her room but I'm not going to list any since I don't know their titles, ha. There's probably a few more other DVDs laying around somewhere, but this is what I remember off the top of my head anyways.

@DA- Moms personal collection seems. . . extensive. lol You have Voices of a Distant Star on DVD? @BoA- What's SPL? Not aware of that abbreviation. |

tons (not much from anime) some that i remember: -Get Smart -Rush Hour (all 3) -The Mummy (all 3) -Pirates of Carribbean (all 3) -Home Alone (all 4) -27 dresses -Journey to the Center of the Earth -Night at the Museum and some chinese ones

movies... mmmm... well I have some anime movies, but at the moment I don't remeber them all. and for non-anime movies I have, all in DVD - Batman: that dark knight - Transformers - Pirates of the caribean 3 and... I think that's all, I'm not a movie colector... I just rent, watch and return XD I'll post my aniem movies later ^^   |

I'm probably the only one here who hasn't seen Transformers yet. XD Since DN is here, I forgot to mention I have all five Slayers movies on DVD, too, in a nice little box collection. ^_~`

[@DN] You guys don't have anime stores in Colombia? Not even online? [@Izumo] You have the entire collection of B**** Black!? Even the last series (which I heard was still in production)? I'm actually surprised to not see Air TV or Kanon Remake on there. :D [@Kira] Just share your friggin' collection. >:D

@ DAngel-san Oh no...i only have the first series...i don't have the new ones...those i have on the computer :P As for AIR & KANONO...i do have AIR but it is incomplete since i can't find the volume which comes with the collectors box. I think it is vol.3 which is why i didn't list it. As for KANON i'll wait for a complete DVD set instead of getting them individually..unless there is already one, i haven't checked. Having series in box sets is what i usually like to get...i use to get individual volumes (in the VHS days) but i found it to be a hassle. Having the entire series in one collection is better than having 12 individual volumes. Also i found it to be cheaper as well. |

@Kira- It says movies, but I say whatever you have in DVD form would count. Those DVD's usually have like 3 to 6 episodes on them so they are basically the same length as a movie. @Izumo-san- Bible Black? For shame. lol(Joking) Is it Japanese or the infamous English dub? It was a fan thing, and I would assume it's just as hard to get enthusiastic VA's for those as it is to get enthusiastic real actors for that but seriously, I saw the hospital jumping clip on Youtube. Suffice it to say, the lines "Someone jumped from the building!" and "Oh my god, what happeeened!" will go down on my 'most botched up lines I have ever heard' list. I don't usually say I could do a better job (because I almost always cannot do a better job) but even I could pull off some of those lines better. |

@ Jon-san It's in DVD format so i get the option of choosing the japanese or english dialogue. Heaven help me if i ever accidently choose the english dub...so i can't tell you if it is good or not...as for the line never heard it before...since i haven't heard the english dub yet & probably never will. All the hentai DVD i usually go for the original dialogue...unfortunately the VHS titles i have i don't have that luxury. Ever heard the La Blue Girl dub? My goodness it is awful...extremely funny but awful!!!! Sounds like cheap porn....ummm...what am i saying...it IS cheap porn XD Oh yeah in the Rei Rei dub you get to hear Allison Keith (Misato in Eva) doing her thing...very interesting :D |

@Izumo-san- I wouldn't recommend it (I know from experience what watching a bad dub can do. Hellsing is all but ruined now that I accidentally downloaded the English dub), I haven't seen the series (and never will, otherwise my head gets mounted on the wall by a special someone. Not my thing either) but as far as I can tell from the clips I've seen on the tube, the English dub is probably one of the worst and is cringe worthy. Kind of reminded myself actually, when I listed off my movies I remembered that I haven't actually watched Kiss of the Dragon yet, or Mask of Zeguy, or Ninja Scroll. I really should watch at least one tomorrow night. Maybe Kiss of the Dragon, since Blu-Ray + Jackie Chan, Jet Li or Chow Yun Fat is teh awesome. |

[@Izumo] Haha, same but I have the entire thing on my PC (well what's released and subbed, excluding the two movies also). :P It's weird cause some aren't labeled (since there are what, four series including the orignal BB series) and it's hard to tell which one is what, but the ones that seem to be relating are in the same folders at least. Haha. I forget what episode I saw up to when I saw the Kanon 2006 dub. I remember we talked about this before... or was that with Air TV's dub? Anyways, it seems like forever since I saw episode 1 (and I know for sure I saw the first episode), so I'd assume the first one is out. As for Air TV, the entire thing should be done, it's only half of Kanon, but I don't remember how long ago I saw the dub. I agree with you having box sets is better. That's what I aim for all the time, or back when I bought anime anyways. [@Jon] Omg, B**** Black's dub is horrible... I saw one episode dubbed (forget which series, god they're confusing to remember, and there was the one movie I saw dubbed). I do know what scene you're talking about, but again I can't remember which series it was. >_<;; Not to offend American VAs or anything, but I always though they'd shine when dubbing h*****, though fans on the surface would never even be aware. I mean it just sounds so fake it's obvious... not really enjoyable and since dubbing in America stinks in general, it just "breaks the mood" anyways, lol. XD I can imagine being in the room during the dubbing process... talk about awkward. Kiss of the Dragon is friggin' made of win. If you love high paced martial arts, or just Jet Li, you'll like it. Ther's a fight scene that just leaves people breathless. It's the fight where he takes on an entire room of other fighters, and yeah this particular moment is so random (you'll see for yourself if you watch it). XD Oh, one more thing was I edited my list and added some anime DVDs I left out. I'm stupid, they're laying like right in front of me, though some of them I haven't even opened yet. :O

wow the last part has become a "for the boys" only talk huh XD i have to agree though..BB dub sucks..same goes for la blue whahahaa heck most Dubbed shows in that genre uses "adult entertainment" actors to do the dub XD gotta admire izumo's H collection...i only saw a handful from his lists whahahahaa gotta love lablue girl though XD anyway i own a lot of DVDs..mostly bootlegs. ok all of em are..except for THE NOTEBOOK 0_0 and its not even mine, but I love that movie whahahahah |

I think every post from "You have Bible Black?" up to here has just created the appearance of a bunch of sad, lonely guys who are scaring off any potential girls that may have looked into this thread or them. XD I am excited to watch Kiss of the Dragon since I do enjoy fight scenes. I'm not expecting it to be a good movie by any standards other than the fights, but every now and then I love to watch one of those movies. They can't all be award winning trips into the human psyche filled with a gripping story. Sometimes you just want a movie where, for some slightly believable reason, Jet Li/Chow Yun Fat/Jackie Chan goes off to kick some a$$. Sometimes you just want a Micheal Bay kind of movie where stuff blows up for no good reason. Mindless action every once and a while is fun, so long as you don't go around praising it as a masterpiece. |
