So is anyone else super pumped for this game, or am I alone? I love the art direction for this game and can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm just making this thread because I noticed the lack of one. So what are does everyone else feel about this game? Here are some gameplay videos if anyone is interested. Here and here. |

Not really, I was contemplating on how I should start it. If I should consider making a thread about fighting games in general or pick a specific title. Well, anyways... I have been looking forward to playing this game. SF was my first fighting title since SF2 was released. Though I was never able to commit since I was too young. My interest never waned. Although I am happy to see them returning, the plot is so retconned it's hurting me on the inside. It felt that they were squeezing the title for all it's worth. Well, one thing I am hoping for is that they release a new Arcade version where the updated roster is included. Aside from wanting to use Cammy and Sakura. This is the first time I have a good interest on playing Dan. Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

Playing Sakura looks like it will be pretty good this time around. I understand what you mean about the plot, but I'm willing to let that slide in fighting games because that's not the part of the game that gets the most attention from the staff. |

i can't wait to get this! SF was my first fighting game too XD it looks pretty promising. :D |

There is one reason that I wanted to play Sakura. After her inclusion in the roster was made official. A lot of haters began to show up. They mentioned that there were better characters than a "school girl" and that was she was designed to "only to attract fanboys" saying her character itself is worthless and weak. Apparently, these guys rely too much on their characters. They need a reality check and some tough love. They don't know the meaning of "skill". Since Capcom vs SNK 2, I have been using underdog and low-tier characters just to prove that point. Win or lose, If they are having a hard time. I am proving them wrong. I am also willing to play the 4 new characters. While paying special attention to C. Viper and Abel. Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

I hate people like that, they need to relax and enjoy the GAME. I'm willing to give C.Viper, Abel, and El Fuerte a try, but not Rufus he looks to ridiculous. |

You should have seen their faces when I used Todo for Capcom vs SNK 2 and Hugo for SNK vs Capcom: Chaos at the local malls. Priceless... Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

While I do love the Street Fighter series and am a fan, I'll probably rent this game when it comes out. I don't really like to spend 60 dollars on fighting games seeing as how they have relatively short lifespans (I'm not a big online gamer, so single player is what I care most about). Still, it does look really good so far. Vega and Chun-Li for me. I must say that I despise the new music for this game though. I had downloaded the free tracks from the Playstation Store and watched the article in Qore about the guy doing the music, I really don't like the hip-hop scratch style so I'll probably turn that music off and listen to my own while playing the game. What's everyone's verdict on the music? |

Dan is the lulz. If someone loses to Dan, repetedly, they should stop playing.

He is really not that bad. Because he is a "shoto-clone", his normal attacks are almost similar with the others and therefore uses the same tactics. His Dankukyaku and Kuuchuu Dankukyaku is pretty good all around, if you know how to use it. Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

Dan is a good character, if you can be cheap with him & u hit the moves right you'd definately win a match especially if u get his special right since it's a killer (if they have that specific special in it) |

So it's out. I haven't had the chance to play it yet. But people seem to be enjoying the experience. I am seriously looking forward to try out the game. I hope an arcade version pops out somewhere in some mall here. And I do hope that they get the console exclusive characters out in the arcades sometime in the future. And so here it is... The official intro for the game I have to be honest... The song is too catchy for my own good... Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

I'd probably pick it up tomorrow (if my budget is ok), if i can't i'd pick it up next month. From all the vids i read & the pretty good review it is getting, it might be pretty fun. I'm certainly no expert or street fighter master but as a casual gamer it'll be a good experience. I use Ryu/Ken alot in the old days, & than tried Sagat when Alpha came out so i'd stick with those guys. |

I am currently observing the Gamespot forums. Seems like a lot of shoto beginners are playing online. And they are getting beaten up badly. Lots of new SF players, some old players returning to play, and a lot of bashing from both sides because of their difference in skills. Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

I played a bit at EBGames here on the display machine (the 360, and boy do I hate playing fighting games on the 360's controller). I thought it was pretty good, although once again I have to say that I am not a fan of the music and didn't enjoy hearing it. It was nice to see little animated clips though. I can't play Vega like I used to though. |

I absolutely love the trailer that showcases all the characters in the game...yes the voice work for some of the characters are sometimes over-acting but for the most part i thought it was pretty good. Sagat sounds like a badass for sure & well Dan...that is Spike Spencer isn't it? Seth i've heard before....sounds very similar to Margulis in Xenosaga. Everytime i see this trailer i want to get the game so bad, but alas i have to wait til next month. Also i stopped by EB games & talked to one of the retailers there saying they had over 200 preorders & all the games sold out pretty quickly. Insane.... Here is the trailer i was referring too. |

Well I got it the day it came out and it's awesome. It's probably the best fighter on the next-gen consoles. Online is fierce and if you think you're good, you're in for a very rude awakening, which is how I like online. You can play this game like SF II and do pretty decent, but if you play against someone who has taken time to learn the game then you are done. |
