Kurokami

SPOILER ALERT! (I did my best to edit this post so that
anyone who checks out the anime after reading it will
still be as shocked as I was at the end of episode one)

Kurokami The Animation

I have NEVER gasped in terror [out loud, mind you... I even covered my mouth like a little fogle...]
at an anime... but end of the first episode got to me... It's gruesome, dude...
I don't think I'm accustomed to them [the creators of anime] showing blood like THAT...
It's always just your regular, cheesy "fight scenes" or w/e when I see the blood...
But when the character gets run over... they SHOW EVERYTHING...
It's disturbing... she was smeared all over the road for AT LEAST 50 feet!!!
And it all happened in a matter of literally two seconds... it just SNEAKS up on you!!!
The adorable character is seen at the sidewalk, the light turns green,
and she begins to run across, but a huge truck comes by... and SPLAT!

wow...

Lesson learned: look both ways before crossing the street.

Way to hook me, though... **applaud** @ this anime's creators...
I will DEFINITELY be watching the rest of this show.

Anyway, is anyone else perturbed by the picture below??? (wish I had time to make a GIF of the
whole thing... it's more shocking to see her actually get hit, rather than just the after-effects).

click here to see the pic... but I'm warning you...
It's really disturbing when you think about WHO
it is who got splattered all over the road...

Hahaha.
And yeah that scene was O_O;
"Someone call an ambulance!" to clean up the body parts lol.

Ohai. I HAZ RETURN AS OF 18-APR-2020!

I have to admit, when I saw that, my jaw dropped.
Like, I had headphones on, and I was watching it at night I believe, yeah, gives you that type of mood.

My opinion on the anime is, it's pretty interesting so far.
The quality of the anime is not lacking, but makes it feel like it was made in the late 90s/early 2000s, anyone agree?
It's not that bright, crystal clear digital quality we see now in most anime,
but that's maybe because the theme of the anime so far is so dark.

Going to dL episode 2 now, but this is a series I'm definitely keeping an eye for and hoping it doesn't disappoint.
I might have to re-watch episode one though, cause I don't remember anything but watching it, ha, but yes, kick455!

lol, no shin, don't, skip that scene.
I think people would think more highly and dramatic of it if they knew who it actually was (it's really sad in a way, too, but scary).
That particular scene literally happens in like, a quick second.

...so to make it more dramatic, watch it in the dark, headphones on, decently loud volume, observe away. :O

@ miko's quote, "call an ambulance [to clean up the body parts]!"
as though they could even save her... she's just a puddle now

also... /agree with DA on two points:

1) The anime IS still indeed HD... but not the colorful, crisp HD
we usually see (refer to Rosario Vampire second season).

However, I kinda like how dark it is. It's a nice break from last season, which
included many bright animes like Kannagi, Toradora, and a BUNCH more.
The character design is CONSIDERABLY different from other animes, I think...
(especially the main character's face... it looks so distinct from other anime-faces)
They're not extremly detailed, human-looking cartoons
who are drawn so human-like you can see their PORES,
but also not REALLY cheesy cartoony-anime design either. I was quite impressed
at Kurokami's artist to be able to find the balance between the two.

2) The first episode of Kurokami MUST be watched at night... with headphones on...
and you must watch the WHOLE episode in order to be fully impacted by
how abrupt and sad it is when the character gets killed...

d@mn the writers for making you fall in love
with how adorable the character is and then KILLING her right away!

I'm reading the manga right now, and that scene is as sick as it looks like.
