Yay the first one to post. Nice thread Izumo~san, as expected from the boss. 2 thumbs up.Well, I'm pretty late joining on the previous thread, and now I am...The first one. And sorry that I don't post gradually in the 1st thread, I think I need to give priority for those who are elite in Clannad's knowledge to do the posts. Well, back to the business, I'm joining this. Register me as ES OK? And I hope it is not too late to comment something though on my latest EP of Clannad, I hope... And for the favourite character, I"ll choose Tomoyo...the school president, can I? For the first thread, she had been "snatched" for me. I want to get herback...lol And the colour code, I think blue...not really dark and not really bright one. EP 20 Remark... Well, from the beginning the mood is very high and cheerful. I'm enjoying this. Tomoya finally Seeing Ushio's teacher. And what's more, the teacher is Fujibayashi Kyou...At first I think I made a mistake, I thought that it was her younger sister (I don't really remember the name). But this is a miracle, a fierce student who always throw books to people become a kindergarden teacher, this is unexpected. And there is Botan...What the! HUUUGE, what do Kyou give him to eat? I don't think it is her sister's bentou...lol And also there is a sport, Hmmmm...I am also suprised of this, Okazaki VS Akio...Who will win...But I don't think it can be done, you know why. But he have changed very much. He is pretty mature now. But I think he will break someday...I just know it. Ah, Fuuko is also here too. I want to hug her. Yup, the world will be destroyed in 1 day if we let Fuuko push that button secretly. And what's with the pant and nuclear explosion. It is like Judgement Day in Terminator. I really laugh at this. OKAZAKI SAIKOOO!!! lol. And there is a part that I am really touched, where Nagisa is there playing cards with Okazaki and Ushio. But i think Nagisa will change her hair style at that time, I mean when she is alive. I think she will have a longer hair. And poor Okazaki, he cried...He is quite strong. I hope he will be stronger. Well, many people recently post on the disease of Nagisa and also maybe...you know. Well, I have my own interpretation...Their health maybe connected to the place where the hospital was built. You know, Nagisa is always in a good health until the construction of the hospital...Well, who knows. And somehow, I think that Okazaki's father seems to know what will happen to Ushio, "I wonder if it is enough already" while looking at Ushio. This might be somekind of forecasting. And there is also Ushio...From time to time, she went to the place...you know, and stared at the surrounding of the hospital. There was less tree and more concrete. Well, end of my interpretation on this. Ah, questions especially to Izumo~san, 1) Well do you think that Okazaki father will once again support Okazaki? I really hoped for that moment to come... 2) Well, what do you thunk of this anime actualy, is it following the original game or there is some addition or reduction? Well, that is all from me...I will post again when I see EP 21    |

Woah, ths CSS is so cool :o But it's kinda making my internet laggy. >_<;; It's pretty though~ Sorry I haven't been replying in the Clannad thread, I haven't seen past the 7th ep. of Season two, due to school work and what not T_T I hear that the series is in a teary arc at the moment, though? I haven't seen 21 yet, later, but for this club, nice touch. You used this background for your profile for a little while. Hmmm, obviously I will join, following the anime for such a long time period. Well, my name is obvious (DA, DANGEL, devils-angel, etc.), favorite character? That's a toughie. I can say my favorite girl is Nagisa and still is my #1, then maybe Kyou, and my third's always been fumbling around, though I might even add Ushio now (or Sanae-san, she's heaven), and I'm a huge Tomoya fan. Optional color code? Whatever you want really, doesn't bother me, but I do need to fit in with these exotic colors. :D

Why do all these pages nowadays have to have CSS that rape the few of us on single core processors horribly? In any case, since the other one closed, I'll post my last statement here: ["I guess I just tend to look at it a bit more like how Xiaonewbiez said... @Xiao: ....Gundam does change...unfortunately. And many times not for the better. I could go on about how I think Gundam X was the last alternate universe gundam show that was decent and how Gundam 00 and Seed were awful disconnected attempts at either replicating the Universal Century(Seed/Seed Destiny) or just using the Gundam name to sell something when it really doesn't seem to have a cohesive plot (00), but this isn't the place to do that so I'll stop there. The main thing that's bugged me though as a whole with this situation, is that they have this HUGE potential here to just try something new that at this point would pretty much be guaranteed to succeed. What I'm referring to is the whole subplot with Ushio, and how they could for once NOT pull the whole stupid inexplicable death card, and instead show how Tomoya and Ushio move on in their life beyond what they have. Ending this show on the whole death thing again would pretty much banish Clannad back into the pit of "just another Key show", that so far has done so well to break that stigma....so this really just frustrates me."]

Sorry guys/gals for the over the top setup for the new thread. What can i say, i wanted to make it special for this great series. Don't worry only the first page will have this setup...i think. I may also change the cherry blossom gif to the one i use on my profile. It's not as clustered as the one now. @ ES-san Thanks for the kind words, i appreciate them. Oh the fave character option isn't a claimage thing, it's just to see who is the most popular character in the eyes of Gendou.com users. Your info is updated so thanks for joining! As for your questions. 1 - There will always be support from each other now that Tomoya & his dad have patched things up. However now that Tomoya has realized his faults & what his dad has done for him, i believe Tomoya wants to handle things on his own. In the episode he thanked his dad for everything so now his dad can return home and rest. 2 - For the most part it is following Nagisa's path pretty well, the scenarios of the other characters were shown enough not to deviate from her path. There were some minor changes most significantly in Yukine's path. Her route was fleshed out more than the game version. The anime gave Yukine a more complete ending. Overall i'm extremely satisfied with how the anime has turned out & is definitely at the top of my list. @ DAngel-san Thanks fo joining the club! Looking forward to future discussions about the series. Your info is updated. @ Suzaku-san No worries, whenever you have the time to post will be greatly appreciated. Though the last few episodes that you have missed may be difficult to watch....T__T! What i meant of color code is if you have a preference on how your name will be shown. Basically what i do whenever i post names...you don't have to anyway...it's just for fun. Info has been updated. @ h4xOr-san Since you put it that way (actully it was Xiao-san nicely put it than i guess i know what you mean. Well as you are about to see in the upcoming epiodes the 'death thing' is just apart of the whole. Unlike in AIR where there is no conclusion on what becomes of Mizusu, here there is a reason for the 'death' of characters. The movie in a way sort of suggests that Tomoya & Ushio goes on with there lives but like i said in the last thread the ending for the movie is basically the ending of episode i think 19. Unlike other Key shows the ending of CLANNAD makes up for everything that has happened in the After Story...so pay close attention to the next episode. Than hopefully you know what i mean. |

[@Suzaku] Actually yeah, I meant the male protagonist, Tomoya. And no worries, I make sure to never mix them up (if I ever did, maybe at first). :P Can't decide who my favorite girl is. Nagisa and her mom are two tough choices. >_<; Can I just go the whole Furukawa family? Nagisa + Sanae-san + Okazaki Ushio? XD

@Suzaku Of course it is laggy. I think this is the first webpage I have ever gone to with 30 gifs and 3 flash applications on one single page. Making any internet browser to display all that is hard work, hence turning your computer laggy. XD @Dangel If your going with the Nagisa family then I am going with the Tomoyo family! Tomoya + Tomoyo + Tomo~! @Izumo Thanks for the compliment. =D @H4xOr Its raping mine too. Yes, one of the worst ideas for a webpage is to have a .gif background. Having those effects like snow, rain and sakuras makes the entire webpage hard to read as well, apart from the obvious CPU consuming power. ^^; Okay let me try using the gundam reference one more time. >_< In the same way how Gundam uses small kids that has a niche for piloting Gundam-type mobile suits so much that it defines Gundam, Key uses sacrificial moe characters to define its own trend. And you have said it yourself, that Clannad is just another Key-show. Maybe why Key is still using the same thing over and over again is because that is the thing that seperates Key from others, as well as bringing back some Key-fans who is looking for that in every Key-game. *Tries using the Gundam reference again* Looking at Gundam, Zeta, ZZ, Victory and Seed, the one thing that is similar between all of them is a young kid having a niche for piloting Gundam-type mobile suits saving earth from a certain doom. As boring as that might sound, those series are in the top 10 "most dvds sold for an anime series". So Key might be following Gundam's success story, hence why you see the same thing over and over again, yet it still sells. And yes, I agree with you on how they could develop Ushio more. T_T But since no one would ever change what they have published a few years back I guess you should write fan-letters about begging Key to have a better storyline for REWrite. ^^;  |

congrats for the new thread, but i just can't get to the happy mood at the moment, thanks to episode 21. Oh man, i can imagine Tomoya thinking "FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU****** NOT THIS SH!T AGAIN!!!". If he doesn't then i do. Even when i know what's coming. Goddammit she doen't deserve that. Tomoya doesn't deserve that even more. And next is already the final ep? With an unclear preview at that... Except the title, which i like. Meh fine, bring it on Key... I'll see what kind of ending you can offer after all these horrible turn of events. So they have 2 extra episodes then? Just like the first season. Will Tomoyo after be shown again i wonder... |

[@Xiao] We cannot now, people have taken them away from us! >_<;; [@Suzaku] Yeah, I know I have, haha. In the past. :P Finally able to watch 21, and things just take a turn for the worst. They couldn't've spread it out, then again it's the second to last episode (officially) of the series. Nobody deserves what Tomoya first received, and nobody in all of history deserves what he received again. It's like deja vu, what's going on with this curse of such? It was hard seeing Ushio in this episode, for real, and I know her fever, too. Can't say I've had a similar one at that age, but I had a serious one (or so) when I was just slightly older, and it's rough. It was hard seeing her struggle with such simple movements: sipping water, changing into new PJs, even walking with such strength involved. Her energy has completely depleted and even Tomoya is starting to wither away inside, and out. I can't imagine how it'll feel in real life, let alone in a fictional animation series, but I just feel the pain so sincerely. I don't understand how such a deadly sickness could form. Was Sanae-san ever sick when she was young? Maybe Akio-san perhaps? Like mother, like daughter in this episode and deja vu for Tomoya again. Truth is, he must despise the snow. I agree with Sai, the preview is a total set-up/cliff hanger~ish/whatever preview. A lot can happen in one episode... and I have no idea about the two other episodes (if there's going to be two more). The Ushio-snow scene reminds me of the tragic Air TV scene we all know. Still a while before Clannad is officially finished, but I'm curious what's next for Kyoto Animation. Maybe I will finally get what I've waited for for nearly two and a half years, or maybe something else (I've heard...). Last note, speaking of the snow, the snow fall in the ending was particular done to perfection. One of the best, KyoAni.

Heh, the stream messed up because Tomoyo's power level is too awesome to be quantified by FLV motion capture vectors! Neat how they used the same tree as the game's main menu thing...

@ Raiz-san Thanks for joining! Glad to have you aboard! @ Xiao-san Hahaha! You just couldn't wait could you!? I totally understand though...it was killing me when i had to work & was unable to see it until i got home...however.... The wait was definitely worth it! I waited 4 long years to see this ending come to fruition, for me personally it was almost a dream come true! The tears that ran down my face weren't tears of sadness but of celebration & joy. There are not alot of anime series that has the impact that CLANNAD has with your emotions. The moment 'Chiisana Tenohira' played i absolutely lost it....it was everything i remembered, it was at that moment i realize why this series is what i consider the GREATEST visual novel EVER! Now maybe anime EVER! CLANNAD puts you through a rollercoaster ride full of almost every emotion you can think of. For the most part every character you really care for them & cheer them on. When they are put into situations that might not be very pleasant, even to the point of tragedy. You genuinely feel every ounce of pain, every ounce of heartache, every ounce of despair they go through....often times to a point of being difficult to even watch.... However after all that, when they do rise above that darkness & back into the light it is a feeling of satisfaction & relief. Those moments give you this fuzzy, warm feeling inside of you that lingers on long after you watch it. It is because of this reaction you get from watching CLANNAD that i consider it to be so GREAT! Seeing the scene in the flower field (& the scenes that follow with old friends) with Chiisana playing made you forget about everything that happened before...like it never really occured at all. The ending is not just memorable, not just beautiful it was & is truely extraordianary!!! A series like CLANNAD doesn't come by very often thats for sure.... So CLANNAD for me definitely lived up to all the expectations & than some! 4 years of waiting was all worth it. It was an honor & a priveledge to see it with my own 2 eyes. Once again the team from Key Visual Arts & Kyoto Animation has outdone themselves! |

omfg the ending is simply epic! i been waiting for Chiisana Tenohira in the anime series, it's my favorite song from Clannad. Im really happy with the way the end the story, though i really want chiisana tenohira to be the final song instead of normal ED, but hey we still gonna get extra episode xD of all grown up characters, which one is your favorites? we've seen Fuko and Kyou before, Ryou doesn't change much but looks really cute in nurse form, Kotomi officially graduate from being Hikikomori funny thing is she can drive so well and the next scene Sunohara just phail at driving, and she's so stylish now! Tomoyo mesmerizing as ever. Mei is...*nosebleed, Yukine still looks the same and still my fave clannad girls.

@ Raiz-san Yeah it looks like they used the original version of Chiisana rather than one of the many versions of it. I wonder how many people is going to request the song even though it is already in Gendou's database, albiet the one from the movie. As for your question yeah i agree the way they portrayed Kotomi seems she has 'grown up' quite abit, living & studying in America may do that. So she probably has evolved the most. Ummmm...other than Botan...man he sure has grown :D The Ryou scene would've been much cooler if other than the 2 ladies one of her patients was Kappei. Everyone else acts & feels like they were when they were younger, to me anyway. Even when they are more mature memorable characters will remain memorable characters. ****************** This is just a minor gripe so not to be taken to seriously...just a fan of the game looking for abit more. Even though the ending was spectacular & everything i imagined it to be like, the only issue i have is that it felt rushed or doesn't feel as long as it was in the game (for example they didn't really mention why Fuko awoke from her coma...stuff like that). It was basically a music montage of the events that followed after Tomoya realizes everything. Other than that i thought it was a perfect ending to a perfect series. Oh btw the Fuko thingy at the end is almost identical to what you get in the game...even down to the very last line she says. So i thought that was a nice touch. The next episode looks like it takes place before Nagisa & Tomoya even met. So this may be new material cause in the game it starts off like in the series. Tomoya sorta already knows Nagisa when they meet each other on the hill. So i'm looking forward to see how Nagisa befriended Tomoya when he was still a 'bad apple'. |
