Music or instrument based anime
|
I've just watched La Corda D'oro and Nodame Cantabile Paris. I was wondering if there were any other of such anime? As in the characters revolve around playing an instrument or just showing their passion for music. Classical music would be great as I'm quite tired of watching shows like Nana. (No offense!!) I really love animes like Nodame Cantabile, so your help is most appreciated!! P.S. I've been doing some research but no luck. I'm also watching these kind of anime to help me with my own musical instruments.

Myself; Yourself perhaps? It's a very good anime, IMO, and I loved it to death. It does revolve one of the main characters playing a violin, but it isn't the main focal point of the anime, but it is pretty significant to the whole storyline, but it's a fully recommended anime, plus the music is great (like the OP!). ------- |

not sure if this counts: melody of oblivion. there're a lot of references to music, but it's kinda more of the action/mystery genre, perhaps. |

K-On is my favourite Music-based anime. It has a good storyline, cute prontagonists that will cause moe-ness and most importantly, good music. |
