Asu no Yoichi - Way too short!?

Anyone agree? Or check out this title? Pretty average, common anime like this, but I loved it from start to finish. Artwork reminds me of Maburaho, but it looks like another version of Rurouni Kenshi really, and Yoichi and Kenshin really do kind of resemble each other, too. Divine Wind is also a style used by Kenshin too, right? But yeah, I just saw the final episode and thought it was way too short. 12 episodes is pretty average though, and I can't tell if there's going to be another season or not, but the manga seems to be on-going, though the last release was still in '08, so who knows. There was some strange figure drinking tea at the last episode, not sure if that means anything. Who's your favorite sister? Or girl even? I love Ayame best, but my favorite girl is totally Angela, zomg! O.O` Angela has to be one of the hottest girls ever. She's like a Tenjou Tenge, Sekirei, etc. type character since she's only 16, yet incredibly busty and hot. :O Her chest like, can hang over her arms, wtf! Okay, I'ma stop, but yeah, it's a nice little anime. Nothing romantically ever happened between anyone, Ibuki and Yoichi or Ayame and Yoichi (short). :/ There are really funny moments in this anime though, and I hope there's more in the future if ever possible. ------- |

I must agree, it's too dang short.. D:< LOL Angela is da bomb indeed! 8D I dunno but after watching the series, guess I'll be reading it's manga. I hope there's some second series or something. T_T |

Not surprised. This was not the first time that I have seen an unfinished animated title. Air Gear, To-Love Ru, Nagashite Airantou, Ranma 1/2... I could go on... The best thing you could hope for is that there would be a 2nd season sometime in the future or read the manga. Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

Well DAngel-san, you shouldn't be so suprised...isn't it the norm nowadays to have half-season anime series. Basically meaning having only 12-13 episodes, it's very popular format lately. Also a reason for doing it this was is a quick money-grab...less episodes mean less money to complete a series & so you can market/advertise like crazy. It also makes fans of the series to either go out & buy the manga or wait 'impatiently' for the next season...while buying merchandise to satisfy ourselves....something like that. Anyways, like yourself, i absolutely loved the series. At first i didn't really thought about following it but after the first few episodes i was hooked on it! Love the sisters...all of them are quite spectacular in their own right. Even 'samurai' was cool! One of those main leads in a harem that i actually liked cause he was useful & genuinely a good guy. Angela's voice actor i knew right away....it's Kanu from Ikkitousen (the imcomparable Hitomi Nabatame-san!!!). She feels really familiar with that character as well. Always trying to protect her master...even her inner monologues were similar from one another. That episode when Angela & Tsubasa showed up was one of my faves. How Tsubasa also has that wierd imagination when seeing their 'true love'...just like Wa-san with Ibuki-dono. I see there is 8 volumes of the manga so looks like plenty of material to cover for a contiuation anime series. Just like with Sekirei it's only a matter of time. |

Rofl, "Washizu Vision" or something it was called? XD The anime has a lot of good hearted characters and funny ones, too. I so hope there's going to be more. It just feels like there could be much more. ...and I always wish for a movie and/or OVA(s). And Angela is way too hot to handle. Go figure with that relation. ------- |

The series crammed it all in and was still very good, but if they had made the series longer they could've made it better. I like Ayame the best, I mean she is just funny in about every scene she is in. And was the first sister (but not the last) that Yoichi groped. To Love-Ru never did finish, but there is an OVA coming out AND last time I checked even in the manga he hasn't decided who he wants to be with. |

Asu no Yoichi was a really awesome anime, and it was WAAAAY too short. The manga is still on-going, and from what I can tell the anime got some solid ratings; and it was also left open for a season 2. I really do hope they decide to make a season 2, or at least send out some OVA's. It was really too good to just leave it there. Also, Ayame was probably my favorite Sister just because of the way her relationship was towards Yoichi ( Lmao ) which got epically funny throughout. However they do it though, they need to kepe it going maybe this fall or something; as I would love to see the Play part with Ayame and such. ( If anyone reads the manga, you know what Im talking about, haha ) ANYway, great Anime all around! :D |

I think there's two more OVAs for To Love-Ru coming out still, during the Summer. Finally dLed the first a day or two ago, but have yet to check it out yet. I HATED how To Love-Ru ending, and it wasn't even the last episode. It started out so smooth, so good, so consistent, then by the last few episodes, it began to become lazy, things were sloppy, and I hated it (since I loved the series a lot). I see this series could go on for another season, even another (three total). It has that quality that most multiple season series have, plus might be easier to make another season, too with a higher budget. There has to be a Rurouni Kenshin parody in this series. :D ------- |

Rofl, A kenshin parody would be epic. And as far as To Love-Ru, I never got into it. A few friends tried to get me into it, but I never really took it up. However, I love the Opening song "Forever we Can Make It" by THYME. And I could see As no Yoichi getting maybe a higher order of episodes for Season 2 if they did it, like maybe 18 or something. Just, more then 12, so they can further expand on a great story. |

I just read Vol.1 of Asu no Yoichi when my friend let me borrow it, and I LOVED it!! I can't wait to see the Anime Version! ^^ I LMAO when Yoichi would accidentally grope one of the four sisters, and Ibuki would always appear to give him a what for ^^ Ayame kept on hiding her feelings for Yoichi ever since watching his fight between that one dude ^^ Kagome is Kawaii! She's so helpful when she helps Ayame make that stew for Yoichi, when he gets sick!! I wouldn't mind if she was my little sister!! ^^ Chihaya is just like me! She only cares about doing what she loves, which is drawing Manga, and I sometimes write stories too!! I also think that Ibuki and Yoichi make a good couple! ^^ I love the Manga, and I can't wait to watch the Anime!! ^^ Now I'm definately gonna get Vol.2 of the manga! ^^ I wonder who those two sisters are? They kinda showed up at the last minute in Vol.1 |
