Anyone read the book "Physics of the Impossible" by Dr. Michio Kaku? In case you don't know him, he's a professor teaching in City College of NY, and one of the pioneers of String Theory. According to him, we might can teleport, be invisible, destroy a planet, control the life on a galaxy, and most likely warp through different space and time. Tell me your thoughts about it. By the way, if you watched several shows in History and Discovery, I'm sure you saw him^_^ ![]() |

I tried to read it. I vomited 5 times, but made it through the first half. I consider this my great brave act of the year. The book is sensationalism at it's worst. Popular science books seldom do justice to the field, but this is the worst example I've ever read. Kaku makes unforgivable errors like treating Star Trek "force fields" as one in the same as gauge forces. His classification of different types of impossibilities is pointless. Obviously, class one and two aren't even impossible because he defines them as possible in the future. I think he needs to re-learn English. I think the perfect review of this doorstop of a book is "we might can teleport". ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Isn't it strange that he shows up in nearly every movie related to astronomical fields, but he has no idea what he's talking about? Granted, he is good at explaining the simple stuff. The force fields between universes though... Man, I just don't get what he's trying to say. |

He's not a physicist. He's a physics sensationalist. Kaku is to Physics what Fox News is to Journalism. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
