The sad thing is, she probably won't get very far because she doesn't have a super model looking body.

I most certainly hope that she moves on, but I wouldn't be surprised if she gets the boot.

Either way, win the competition or not, she HAS to go somewhere.
Talent like that wasted? Not ever been given a chance?
Man, people in this world sure are shallow and prejudice as f00k.

My friend told me the reason she tried out was because it was her mother's dying wish or something.

[@Jon] What are you talking about? Did you see the way she was moving those hips? XD

Maybe it's only this certain competition or similar ones,
but I know incredibly great vocal singers who aren't the most attractive by appearance either.

Also sidenote, anyone see the performance (a week later or so) with the guy and the flaming knives!?

That video sure went viral fast.

If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

lol, I know so many scene girls like that girl at 1:23, but yeah, straight on.
The middle female judge, really gets emotional. Her comments were perfect.

The best image though, was Simon at 4:01. Like, was this some movie?
The performance was perfect, the way how the song keeps playing in the background after her performance,
makes it seem like it actually is like some ending to a movie or something. Pretty heart warming.

Yeah I agree it did seem like some really wonderful ending to a movie. XD
and I'm really glad this vid is spreading, I hope she really benefits from this publicity and the exposure of her amazing talent =3

You know it's things like this that i wish happen more often in the world than what we see all to often nowadays...the wars, the hate, the fighting...

I actually got all teary eyed listening to Susan sing...it was powerful, it was emotional, it was inspirational, it was simply amazing....there aren't enough words to describe that actually. It's true that when she first came on stage i bet everyone in that crowd & on the judges panel was expecting some kind of joke, all the credit to Susan for showing that she deserves to be on that stage & by simply performing the way she did will at least give others the inspiration to try to fullfill their dreams. The choice of song was also pretty neat as well..."I dream the dream"....how perfect was that!

Dream the dream Susan....dream the dream!!!

Thanks DAngel-san for sharing that!!!! And yeah lets hope she gets more recognized for her talent rather than her appearance/age.

EDIT*

30 MILLION HITS ON YOUTUBE!!!! CRIKEY!!!

Wow, Susan Boyle has talent~ she put everyone in awe~ Well, I hope she gets far with her singing and that people won't judge her, but I wouldn't be surprised if many people would laugh at her because of how she looks. Unfortunately nowadays (and possibly always?) we live in a very looks-oriented society. -.-

It really takes a little courage just to go out there for someone like her

She deserves it
Man, this is one cool video.. X)

Some news: Apparently they don't want her to get the "Simon-Cowell make-over" they want her to stay exactly like she is now and they don't want to spoil her with Simon's wardrobe or the teeth-whitening he's planning. So she'll be at the next stage exactly as she is now with her incredible voice ^^
