Has anyone read or saw the live action drama? I personally love the manga alot more, and Keiko Suenobu has always been one of my favorite Managaka If you are interested in reading it has alot to do with character depth, psychology, the bullying and hardships the protagonist goes through, how she deals with it, the friends she meets, and how she can rise up from rock bottom. However this book does have to deal with very dark themes such as: self mutilation, rape, bullying someone to death, suicide, and so on. My favorite character is the protagonist's friend: Hatori Miki You can pm me for a link to see the live action drama if you want ^^ |

Yeah I did like it alot. I thought it was going to be a stereotypical bully story, but it runs alot deeper. ^^ |

Haven't watched the live action drama, but I love the manga. I think I first read "LIFE" a couple years ago?... Anyways, it was always heartbreaking to read and obviously I couldn't help but feel for Ayumu as she went through all those different scenarios. "LIFE" reminds me of another manga called "Confidential Confessions" that, instead of incorporating rape, suicide, self-mutilation, bullying, etc. into one story, has separate individual stories. It's definitely very dramatic and a slice of life manga that, like you said, runs a lot deeper than your typical real life drama manga. It reminds me of the things that I've done to myself that I'm not really proud of... *sigh* This forum kinda makes me want to go read "LIFE" again... |

@BTL: ^^ Haha. Well...you could try reading Vitamin, by the same author, it's pretty amazing. We've all done things we're not proud of but we move on from it and become stronger. :) Hell I've done lots of things that seem unreal. Life is one of those mangas that got me through a rough time and I still enjoy it today. |
