halo!!! I mean hello~ I can't find a topic about manga here so i thought in the topic "other" i can open a tread about this..so...who's a manga fan??? let's talk about it here^^ Maybe I can help some of the manga because i'm quite a manga fan^^ Juz ask ask^^

| Well there were lot of mng threads but they are a couple pages back and no one talks in them any more. But anyway, i love mangas, though i need money to buy them since i am broe right now buti try to buy one book a week atleast if i have the money to spare(darn car insurance to high >:(.......) |

| I try really hard to get mangas but I don't have a car.(--;)And everyone I know who has a car won't drive me because where I live all the good stores are the next town over. But every once in awhile I'll get lucky...but let just say that I haven't been there in a good while. |

I love mangas too. I have like 80something now. Like about 54 I got for $2 each at my local Hunts, Treasure Hunt(actually my mom bought then as my main x-mas gift). It's like a store that sells clearance & damage & closeout sfuff. The book were 60% off in Aug. & I got like 15 than it was 80% off in Oct. & I got all the series I like. so I only bought like 11 of my mangas at full price. You got to read The Demon Ororon (4 books)if you like Romeo&Julet storys.What are your fav. series & why?

Luck in finding a 80% off deal? yes Alot of time on my hands? yes Money to spend on all I want? nope I am only able to buy one to four books a month. But I am getting a job, sence I am out of school & all(graduated this year). Soo maby I can buy more, more often now. So what are your fav. series?

Actually, do anyone prefer mangas or anime more?? Majority of my friends prefer anime..... Ummm....if me, i really prefer mangas cause manga drawings IS better than the anime graphic^^ Example Negima from ken atmatsu....the drawing is....SO NicE!!!!! but when come to the anime, i get a little dissapointed with it.........and usually if you buy the whole set of manga, it will be cheaper than buying the whole set of anime.... NOTE!!!(I download anime with bittorent so any anime would be free^^kekekeke:p)

But will lookn into it,(id my books-a-million cares them) but my fav. are: Angel Sanctuary own&read 1-2 Demon Diary read 1-7 (complete) Demon Ororon own&read 1-4 (complete) *Girl Got Game own&read 1-3,7; read 1-7 ***Hana Kimi own&read 1-5*** Ottello read 1-3 *Pet Shop Of Horror own&read 1-3,5,7-10; read 1-10 (complete) Saint Marie own&read 1 Seven Of Seven read 1-3 (complete) Samurai Deeper read 1 *Sokora Refugees own&read 1 *Until The Full Moon own&read 1 (only 2 mangas) Your And My Secret own&read 1 And My collection that I am trying to complete first are marked by* I love romance with a drama/horror twist to it. So night world romance is normally always up my alle. In manga & other books. Ofcorse comedy/romance mangas are interesting too. I actually like almost any kind of manga. It is just books I am picky about.

As for reata, I like both & both have there good&bad sides. I use my fav manga ever Hana Kimi. Back of book one: THE PRETTIEST BOY IN SCHOOL.... ISN'T A BOY! Japanese-American track-&-field star Mizuki Asiya has gotten herslef a tramsfer to a high school in Japan... but not just any hish school! To be close to her idol, high jumper Izuni Sano, she's going to an all-guys' shool... & disguising herself as a boy! But as fate would have it, they're more than classmates... they're roommates! Now Mizuki must keep her secret in the classroom. the locker room, and her own bedroom. And her classmates-& the schoolnurse- must cope with a new transfer student who may make them question their own orientation... Anyways in book2, chapter6, (right-left book)Doctor Umeda(gay) does something interesting will talking to Asiya on the left page. The mood is not as good as if it was an anime b/c you see what was goning to happen before it did.(piont to anime)SPIOLOR the doc is in a bikini w/ a "don' touch the dancers" sign & sayiong 'shake it!'*laughing head off* But in chapter 9 of book2, When her brother ments the doctor 1st&2nd time, the manga is soo much better then an anime could be with showing all the different emotions.SPIOLOR the brother is homphobic & the doc firgure it out, then in 2nd meeting the doc kisse him to freak him out.*laughing head off agian* So basically mangas ruining surprises in books(some what, compare tha anime), while anime is not as good w/ reactions & story lines. So I like them both equally. Besides anime is just fun to watch, while manga ypu can read anywhere, read any scene, any time. Anme you can't do that; so it's a hard thing to try & say which form is better b/c they both have there ups&downs to them.

True true^^ if it comes to mangas, there is some spelling mistakes but i usuallly read chinese mangas so there's no chinese mistakes at all( in the mean time(-_-)") In my country, there is also translated mangas from chinese to Bahasa Malaysia AND that's ALOT of spelling mistakes in it.... they even make the words upside down!!LOl!!!! And!!! sometimes if u read detactive mangas like Conan and Kindaichi, it get alot more confuse in the manga than watching the anime....hmmmquite true...=.= ohwell, chick-yasha make a good point bout mangas, ..theey are portable easier to bring it to vacations.....IF u bring the animes and the Dvd mini player together...it can get spoiled and that goes with your money$$$ note(the player can be quite expensive)

@ reata: yeah, detective manga are more complicated than the anime, but that's why i love it! the other reason is probably b/c the anime's artwork isn't as good as the manga, conan and tantei gakuen q for example.. and of course i love manga~! it's my life!! i have like 1,000 something and i don't even know where to put em.. ^^'

manga! I love manga XD Definitely better than anime, you actually get to use your imagination (fill in the blanks between frames ^^;) Manga is way more affordable in asian countries, like china, taiwan, indonesia, singapore, malaysia (and japan >_>) But here in malaysia the selection isn't exactly huge for people like me who can't read chinese (bananas we are called... yellow outside, white inside hahaha). And that's where internet scanlations come it ^__^ Generally high quality, good translations and Free heh heh. |

it's Rp 9000 - Rp 20000 [it depends, could be a manga magazine like JUMP or NAKAYOSHI] here, which means.. err.. $1 - $2 ^^;; but it's expensive for a middle schooler like me..

Is hana kimi a manga or anime?...I'm confused. Doesn't it have a theme song? ("Sweet" by Kuwashima Houko)Are mangas supposed to have them songs  |

As far as I know there is no anime series. There are 23 mangas & I think 1-3 drama cds. A magazine w/ the series in it. & lots of folders, stickers, stationary, & such. Including a Sano full size inflatible floaty I saw on wwww.ebay.com once, including pillows & other odd-ball items. But no anime or I would done had them (if subbed).

I just found out that hana kimi songs will not be on this site, b/c those songs come from a drama cds & not an anime series. I just ask myslef, soo next topic.

I LOVE manga and buy around 10 a month most months. This month I got 31 one covering two series almost like new for $4 each plus shipping. As it stands, I have 131 manga volumes and my manga spending usually is above my anime spending, so I guess you would say I like manga more. I'm actively collecting around 14 series at the moment. I loooove manga.. ^^ Anime is good too, but when you read anime you could take your time with it... And you could watch one picture for minutes if you want to... And you can read the writer's little notes ^^ I love those notes! As for the mangas I've read... I can't remember them all.. ^^;; But I can ive you my favourites! Bleach, Yami no Matsuei, Inuyasha, Legal Drug, Demon Diary, Fake, Until the Fullmoon, Passion, Timestranger Kyoko, Hana Kimi, Power (Girl got Game)... I think that's all of them... Hmmm.. There're probably some that I've forgotten.. But anyway... ^^;;
