Anybody else like them? Mind you, they're not exactly whole big music group than a talent agency FOR music groups, but there are subgroups that some of you might recognize. Groups that came out of this talent agency include but are not limited to: TOKIO, Arashi, NewS, KAT-TUN, Shuji to Akira, Tegomass, SMAP, Hey!Say!JUMP, Hey!Say!7, Kanjani8, V6, Tackey & Tsubasa, and KinKi Kids. Most of its members are very famous in Japan; this agency is well known for employing young, good-looking boys into groups of male idols who sing, dance, and act. Mind you, there are seas obsessive fangirls after their blood even if you don't know why they are. KAT-TUN  Arashi  NewS  I myself are quite fond of some of the boys, although I can safetly say that I am no screaming fangirl. Some of their music is good (can't say all), but I am a fan of their awesome dance skills and their fantastic acting. Watching any J-Dramas at all? Chances are, one of the good-looking boys in the cast is part of a Johnny's group. |

Well, i'm a fans of SUMMER TIME by NEWS. like the video clip, it's funny and colorful.^^ Oh, Kiss Kaerimichi ~ Love Song~ and Ai Ai Gasa from Tegomass are good too. I like some songs from Tackey & Tsubasa, V6, and HEY! SAY! JUMP! too. I'm interested on their songs than their face. Though some of them are pretty handsome XD! |

Jeez, if this were a normal Asian entertainment site, everybody would be all over this thread :/ Guess this is what happens when otaku take over. I'm more of a fan of their acting than their music :) I do like Summertime very much, and I looped the video last year while getting ready for summer. I was very jealous of how much fun the boys looked like they were having while I was cracking under final exams. I love Tegomass XD Their voices are just so nice. Don't usually like Tackey & Tsubasa's music, but Hey Say JUMP is a nice group. I especially like their making videos of their PVs. They're always very funny, especially Yaotome Hikaru. I still like KAT-TUN the best, even though I hate some of their songs. I like their quiz show, Cartoon KAT-TUN the best. It cracks me up every time. |

hmm i heard some of the groups from Johnny's Entertainment...I'm mostly a fan of KAT-TUN XD my classmate got me into KAT-TUN...like last 2 years...XD  |

Yeah... sigh. I think I'm growing out of being an otaku. Some people never do :/ @tama: Yep, and I was also watching that Cartoon KAT-TUN episode where they were in Okinawa and telling ghost stories long into the night and dragging poor Nakamaru around... I felt really angry at them because they looked like they were enjoying themselves so much. But that's why I love them :) I used to watch Cartoon KAT-TUN on crunchyroll, but now I watch bits and pieces on Youtube. You can find all sorts of goodies there. @kira: yo, and it's nice having more people around to talk about Johnny's. Yay for KAT-TUN :) |

Quoting Akanishi, "Nakamaru with long hair." Damn scary sight, I'm sure :) I recently watched News no Onna with Tackey in it. He's a good actor. He was so cute when he was younger. Also watched the 2003 Johnny's sports day, which was lots of fun. EDIT (12/16/09) Yeah... so, um, I'm completely over my Johnny's stage. Have purged my ipod of Johnny's videos and music, except for Arashi because they have good voices (especially Ohno). Since Johnnys fangirls spread like viruses, there probably are newer fans who are looking for a thread like this to post in... I, for one, have never thought that Nakayama Yuma or whatever his name is looked handsome. Why are the new subgroups so young? Grr, why can't KAT-TUN and Arashi and News have more attention? Better yet, Tackey and Tsubasa? I haven't heard anything from them since 2008. Nowadays... er, afte watching Supernatual, just about any guy who is less buff than Jensen Ackles looks too skinny to me. Says something about these boybands, who are skinny as hell. Huh. My spasitic interest has shifted. |

Zomg i only discovered this thread like nowww ;O But *waving* i'm a huge HUGE fan of JE boybands too! My fave is KAT-TUN, followed by Hey! Say! JUMP, then Arashi. JE boys are simply the cutest, most talented ever. Johnny certainly knows how to pick 'em. <3 Kame + Chinen Yuri! ;D    |

While i'm not a huge fan of boy bands, i must say that JE produces some pretty good ones XD I think i have the complete discography of all the ones you listed =P I love news and kat-tun ^_^ Yamapi from news makes some really good solo stuff too

If I could describe JE boys in one word it would be... OVERRATED. There are definitely cuter looking and more talented Japanese boys singers out there that don't get any recognition because fan girls are only looking at the JE boys. Example, Yuya Matsushiata (NOT a JE boy thank god) If he never had "Trust Me" be an outro anime song, he probably never would've gotten any recognition from anyone since his good looks and talent are overshadowed by boy bands derived of decent looking guys that neither dance nor sing amazingly. All the JE boys are overrated, simple as that, standing around looking good and singing mediocre songs that appeal to fan girls who have no idea what actual real music is.
