I'll be following this most of the day waiting for updates.

I don't really care what Microsoft has to offer since I don't own a 360, but I still would like to see what's on the way. Who knows, maybe Microsoft will have some exclusive titles that will convince me to pick up a 360.

Kojima Productions is also going to finally announce their next project in about 6 hours (according to the teaser site). Judging by the images they loaded on to the site it's pretty much certain to be a Metal Gear Solid game of some sort although I hope that I'm dead wrong (I want to see something new out of the Kojima team. MGS4 was a good way to get out of the MGS franchise and bring out something new without feeling pressured to deliver another MGS game to answer more questions, since MGS4 is the last in the Solid Snake series). Any other game whatsoever from KP would interest me, but the second I hear Metal Gear Solid, I'm out. Of course, if they plan to start a new Metal Gear series (one that doesn't include the Big Boss/Solid Snake events then I'd be interested, although a big part of me still wants to see Zone of the Enders 3.

(Not sure if you planned to do this Lu, but I can't resist making a little update list.)

~Updates~

Listed New(top) to Old(bottom)

-Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 was announced and a trailer was just shown. This is kind of expected of the Lego games.

-Fat Princess and Ghostbusters demos are supposed to hit the European PS Store later this month, get your accounts ready PS3 owners.

-Nintendo released Final Fantasy IV: The After Years today on WiiWare. Apparently it's a 'sequel' to FFIV, sequel in this case meaning that they scrapped together a poor excuse for a story in order to make more money from FFIV. This doesn't look interesting at all, the premise is literally that the son of Cecil and Rosa from FFIV now has to save the world from basically the same disaster that his father and mother saved it from years ago. Why? Who knows, crap happens I guess. Anyway, this is just a port of the Phone game that started coming out in Japan last year. All together now! The cow says 'Moooooo'.

-Also, not related to E3 day, but Final Fantasy VII is reported to be coming out on the NA Playstation Store in a little while. About time. The one game everyone wants remade/re-released/ported gets a release on the Playstation 3/Playstation Portable as a download after Japan has had it for over a month. Huzzah!

I'll follow this thread to see updates, since I don't have G4 anymore. T_T

@DA- G4 sucks now anyway, the only shows worth watching are X-Play, (whenever they have new episodes of-) Reviews on the Run and Attack of the Show (sometimes).

I'll do my best to update based on what I can find through the day. Not sure where Lu is following things from, but any details as fast as possible would be great.

Yeah, I only watched those shows anyways. X-Play was the 5H17. I still miss watching it.
I used to follow the E3 from years ago. They were interesting to watch.

I'm curious to see what 360 will release to try to gain the lead against its rival PS3.

Not to worry. If you mentioned it in a previous post. I'll just edit the first post for clear updates.

Anyways. One of the reasons I intend to watch the MS conference was that MGS4 rumor. I pretty much expect it to be false and the Metal Gear (if any) for the 360 is something new.

@Lu- I'm waiting for the countdown clock to end personally, I doubt Microsoft will say anything on it before the clock ends, it would ruin Kojima teams hard work at making those 5 clocks and drip-feed PR ads.

Microsoft just showing off the Rock Band Beatles so far. Probably another "exclusive" that 360 will release a week or two before Sony and Nintendo, as if it matters.

FFVII, From what I've heard, is actually going to be
released as an actual game rather than Download, a port for
the PSP, with simple enhances in graphics I would assume.

However, if it's already confirmed as a download for sure
then my information would seem false :x ..

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison just walked onto stage and preceded to do nothing of interest, except Paul and Ringo taking the time to say the RC: Beatles game will be awesome.

LOL. A Skateboard controller for Tony Hawk Ride.

Pretty scary to play. I might eventually break the board!

It's really gimmicky and pricey, I heard it's going to cost about 129 bucks for the game and/or controller.

Besides, Skate 2 already did this with the Wii Balance board. Still, it's funny to see them get up there and stand on that thing.

So far Microsoft just seems to have kidnapped a bunch of old celebs to get them to say good things about their multi-platform games. I'm not really impressed.

----------------------------------------------

The cash cow team is on stage talkin bout FF.

Their showing the first look of FFXIII running on the 360. Wow, truly amazing considering everyone's seen it on the PS3 and will be playing the NA demo by tomorrow.

----------------------------------------------

Alright, Microsoft is finally getting into their actual exclusive games, starting with Epic, and I think everyone already knows what they have to offer. At least this point on is all MS Exclusive.

----------------------------------------------

Some trailers for two arcade games as well as Crackdown 2.

Dead Rising 2 trailer of new characters and weapons. Left 4 Dead 2 trailer up next as well as some stuff for Splinter Cell: Conviction.

----------------------------------------------

Info on Forza 3 now. I'll stick with Gran Turismo thanks.

L4D 2, is that the full release with the new campaigns?
This is still free if you already have the original game, right, just like the DLC release.

Not sure, they only showed a little on it really.

More stuff about how Forza is going to be better than any racing game on any console. . . until possibly GT5.

Well the L4D 2 did show melee weapons.

Heck, I think I saw someone with a chain saw and a frying pan...

Talking mainly about Halo ODST now. Some kind of travel back in time/flashback play games as well.

I was never really a Halo fan, so I wouldn't be picking this up. I'm sure most 360 owners will eat this up though.

---------------------------------------------

Halo Reach just showed a teaser too, but that was leaked about two days ago.

---------------------------------------------

Now it's Alan Wake. In all honesty, I have no idea who this guy is. Anyone want to fill me in on why this guy is such a big deal?

---------------------------------------------

XBox Live news now. Something about a partnership with LastFM for music.

They are finally upping their video store resolution to actual HD 1080p. Also increasing the number of countries it will be available in as well as instant watching. Also talking about online videos/music/etc being able to be shared with friends at the same time.

Live TV as well, although I remain skeptical about this.

Ugh, Facebook is now becoming a part of XBox Live. What is with you people and your need to have social networking sites available on anything with a screen?

And now they announce twitter as well. Yet another way for random strangers and friends to follow the stupid little things you do at any given moment in time! :D

--------------------------------------------

Senior VP of XBox on stage now, announcing what is most likely MGS4 360.

I was wrong, Kojima did reveal their project on 360. It's called Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

There he is! hahahaha!

Kojima's there! And it's not Snake either! I effin knew it!

So it's Raiden?

There goes my interest in Kojima. I'm glad they are giving Solid Snake a rest, but Raiden is my least favorite character of the MGS series.

aaaaaaaaaand cue jumping on the Wii bandwagon!

-------------------------------------------------

I can safely say that, after seeing that motion capture in action, the 360 motion capture games will make you look more idiotic than some Wii games.

-------------------------------------------------

Alright, Microsoft's show is over. What did everyone think?

The only thing I can really say now is that it's happening, it's finally starting to take place. XBox at the very least is trying it's best to replace your life with a game system.

Why go talk to people when you have Facebook and twitter at hand as well as a small child that converses with you in real time and recognizes everything you do (although I still remain skeptical that this will work like they demonstrated)?

About the only thing they have left to do is replace or cater to your nutritional needs and bodily functions then bam, insta-hermit.

Nadal is "something" but I pretty much thought they just wanted to compete with the Wii.

And for pete's sake. What they shown as a demonstration was like an eyetoy rip-off. And quite frankly the "AI" is "something" as well.

But I am pretty sure the PS2 did something with an "AI" friend before.

Still... It's a bit disappointing. The FF XIII announcement on the last E3 had more impact.

I can't see it catching on personally. There is a certain limit to how involved one wants to be with a game. Talking to a small child, discussing my daily life and playing/helping him with things is too creepy of a thought to me.

Then again, this could turn into another wave of the Wii fad and housewives/grandmas/shut-ins/pedo's will buy this in droves to be able to play it.

@Lu- Yeah, you can kind of notice that in the overall lack of audience energy during the announcements. None of the news seemed to draw much excitement from the crowd.

Hmm, L4D with melee weapons? It doesn't sound as if it'd have much of an impact on the game depending on how they utilize 'em.
