What is your opinion of J-Pop music? I don't care what you have to say, just scream it out and let everyone see your fanness!!! >83 I need help on writing a paper for the history of j-pop, and I would really like to use some quotes (anonymous of course, unless you don't mind), so anyone who wants to voice their opinion, could you please do so? Thank you! ^_^
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

There is the history of J-Pop on Wiki. Do you want us to talk about how we feel about other J-Pop related things? Bands? Singers? Songs? Fanbase?

J-pop is simply pop music from another country. There's nothing to judge about it, really. It can be just as effective as conveying emotion as western music. I happen to like J-pop more, though. When songs are played at the beginning of an anime you love, you grow emotionally attached to the song. And I think the reason the quotations will be anonymous is so you don't quote "babeluver259" in your term paper. |

Thank you! That's actually something I'm looking for to use! And you're partailly right, it IS to avoid quoting names like that, but also because people sometimes don't like being quoted directly, whereas anonymous quotes solve this problem. ^_^

J-pop is a really awesome form of music. It's encapsulating--and modifying--the 'mainstream' currents of English-language music quite well. Also, the fact that it's being actively used as OSTs to anime has ensured a far greater outreach than even its parent could possibly have (Before ParaKiss, who could imagine an American band singing for an anime?).
