A couple of questions

Just trying to get some feedback here so that I can be a better contributor. I've got some songs uploaded and pending for some time now, and the songs in question are still on the request list. (albeit the song names may differ from those on request, but it's the requested song). Whereas a couple of newer songs I just uploaded appeared somewhat quickly on the database. So my question, is there a determining factor? Maybe the songs need to achieve a certain request number? Or maybe the file sizes are somewhat larger than the norm. I don't mind re-uploading the files if that's the case. (Sorry, the earlier uploads were re-encoded with quite high bitrate, and I was having issues with Lamemp3 encoder format, which explains the large file size). Question no 2 is more specific. I noticed this request for a song. Song in question is Little Wing from Ouran High School Host Club. The weird thing is.. I have that song, and I got it from this site some time back. Did a quick check on the database, but it's not there anymore. Is it under blacklist? As always, to all the moderators, thanks for putting time into this site and making it wonderful. <3

It's all based on Gendou's judgment on which song will be uploaded. |

Thanks, Shin, for the reply. I noticed that requested songs sometimes have the translated english title (e.g. Interstellar Flight) Usually when I upload I choose instead to stick to the romaji version of the title (e.g. Seikan Hikou) My next question is, should I rename the song titles to what is shown in the request list? How does Gendou san (or the mods) figure out if the uploaded song is in the requested list, if the song titles are different? I'm quite sure no one has the time to watch every anime (and therefore know every song featured) :3 I'm thinking, having an option to put a page link to the requested song when uploading would solve some headaches over this.

1. I am the only one who adds songs to the database. As shin says, my judgment guides me. I see requests made by users who have donated in the same highlighted color as everyone else. That has a non-zero effect on my decision making, but it's not overtly conscious. I have personal taste which influences my decisions but my mindset is always that of fairness and giving people what they want. 2. It's best if the file name matches the title of the song as requested. This is because I tend to copy-paste the song title from the request list in search of uploads. 3. I sometimes try permutations of spelling and/or translation, but most often a song I wish to add has been uploaded by several different people, so there is a high likelihood I will find an uploaded copy on the first search. I decided long ago not to directly associate an uploaded file with a request. Mainly, this is to encourage uploading by keeping it simple.
