Runo really annoys me

Why? Simple

1.She's girly,even though she's supposed to be a tomboy

2.She is always picking on dan (even though that shouldn't bother me,since i hate dan)

3.I just don't

But i do love Julie and Shun

You're asking whether or not she is annoying in that show? Shouldn't the better question be, "Who is the least annoying character in the show?".

I usually have the TV on and set to Teletoon as background noise while on computer (I prefer cartoons and Anime as opposed to reality or damas, plus, Teletoon has a decent late-night line-up), and Bakugan has probably the poorest, most slip-shot script I have ever seen.

I have to ask this, so I apologize if it drifts a little from the topic at hand. Is there a Japanese rendition of this show? I refuse to believe that the script was written completely in English, it just has to be poorly translated, there cannot be any other explanation.

@Jonathan: 4kids got it OF COURSE IT WAS MADE IN JAPAN. 4kids is a shit company that dumbs shit down so NO ONE (that LOVES anime) will watch it unless the dont have access to the sub.

i just wish someone would destroy 4kids, take there CRAP-tastic shows, and do a REAL translation of it. hell did you guy know that in yu-gi-oh joey is suppoed to say "god dammit", or in GX one of the kids was supposed to say "dammit". 4kids KILLS anime that why the english version and fox and alotta progams SUCKS.

but to answer the 1st question, yes she does, along with dan, and the runt. but shun is frickin' AWSM.

@Drake- Really? I didn't see a 4Kids logo anywhere, usually they plaster it wherever they possibly can. I've got to check on this. The show is aimed at kids, it doesn't seem like it fits 4Kids M.O.

Edit: It wasn't 4Kids (at least, it isn't here in Canada), it's actually Nelvana, which is surprising because Nelvana has done pretty good jobs with the Cardcaptor Sakura, Medabots and Beyblade dubs.

Although, now that I know there was a Japanese version originally, I'm interested to know if the script is also a total wreck in it's native language, or if that's just something that happened in translation.

i don't think that Bakugan is dubbed by 4kids,though i don't really like 4kids either.

Translations to English usually suck. take Pretty Cure for example. 4kids DID

own it,but did nothing with it.So YTV picked it up (probably because of all of

the complaints at the bionix boards,believe me,I'm a regular at those boards)

And the dub is SO bad. The theme song is a wreck,and the dub really is

horrible. Surprisingly,Bakugan keeps the origional names,even though most kiddy

anime make up new english names (In pretty cure,Nagisa-Natalie Honoka-Hannah)

And I don't have acess to the sub so i'm stuck with dubbed.

Ocean Studios usually does pretty good stuff for YTV, but you are right, Pretty Cure was on 4Kids level of bad dubs. Everything 4Kids comes in contact with, even if it's only temporary, becomes garbage.

Were I the slight bit interested in Bakugan, I would probably look for the sub episodes to see if the Japanese version is, at the very least, coherent. I don't know where to start listing problems with the characters and dialogue. 'Evil' characters announce their names and presence when they appear, people make up rules and pull them out of their a** to fill plot holes, they randomly start yelling at each other or other people for no reason whatsoever, character personalities get randomly thrown out the window at some points.

To answer the question your asking, I find every character in that show annoying except for. . .Shun, was it (whomever the 'ninja' guy is), and the girl who as far as I know doesn't even play the game but is a main character anyway.

Don't insult kids like that DA. Kids aren't the brightest, but they are by no means as stupid or as sheltered from the world as 4Kids believe they are.

@hiyorin: you dont have access? you have the net right? watchanimeon.com or asome other site shouldhave the sub. just be careful, if you go on MegaVideo. watch 72 minutes of ANYTHING on there and you cant watch anything on there again till the next day. they were better 5 years ago.

@jon:oh the girl who does nothing anoys me. Why? Well basicly because she's actually the bad guy,masquerade-and HE's a man. I just find that stupid in every way that a crybaby girl becumes this evil dude.And after everybody finds out,she is all like "I can't use my bakugan...i'll just become a ...monster!!!!She just really annoys me.

@drake:the reason why i can't watch anime on the computor is because my dad doesn't let me because of so little bandwicth we have. Its SO annoying! I guess i'll have to go to the library or somthing to watch anime O_o But in 2 years or something we are gonna get unlimited bandwidth and them i can watch all the anime i want! Mwahahahahahaha!

@Hiyorin: kinda figured thats what it was. ya right now im stuck to just the online manga. the TV im hooked up to doesnt support flash programs, but if i had a new tv or a flatsceen i could watch anime again, or just fet a new laptop which i wanted for x-mas

@hiyorin- Oh god, don't bring that up. While the idea that one of the main characters is the 'evil' (and I use that term very lightly in this instance) character on the side is not surprising to anyone in the slightest, I will admit that the gender change aspect could have made a good twist (even though it was kind of an odd decision).

The reason I don't find what's-her-face as annoying as others, is because she's one of the few characters that actually sticks to her characteristics.

O and i doubt the theme songs of animes subbed by 4Kids come from them but there's this apparent contrast between the english and jap theme songs/ending songs >.<

never heard the english dub...i watched in my own language since it's on air on a local channel. not like i watch it often though...
she's annoying. the only one i like is Shun XD

if there's any japanese version...i'm gonna find it.

its not that runo annoys me.. just in certain circumstances, she seems to be the center of all attention.. and i dont like that.. but this is for sure, alice is the one who really annoys me.. a simple girl from the group yet she's really masquerade.. even though i know its not her fault..

anyways i like julie and shun the best..

@Shae - Is Julie the Russian girl? Her English voice is probably the most grating one in the series as far as I have seen.

@Crez - I don't really think Bakugan is anything special, but I believe that the reason it has become this popular is because of the gimmick of throwing the marbles out and having them pop up. I can't see any other reason for it's current popularity, I don't understand how it ever got this popular. The show itself never made a lick of sense, and rules seemed to be made up on the spot, the English dialogue alone makes the show nearly impossible to understand and there aren't really that many different kinds of monster things (there's maybe 12 generic monsters that just have palette swapped counterparts).

The show kind of reminds me of that other Teletoon show, Spider Riders I believe it was called, the dialogue for that show was the same incomprehensible dialogue as in Bakugan. The only difference between the two is that Bakugan's dialogue is like Spider Riders times 2.

Oh, and up until this point I had been thinking that Runo was the Russian girl with the white hair, but apparently she isn't. My comments before still apply, but now I have to add something to my complaints with her. What is with that girl and randomly freaking out? Her and the main character seem to have these moments where, literally unprovoked, will start yelling everything and going berserk.

@jon well it just so happens that they eventualy go out at the end of the series,y'know,Runo and Dan. I hate new vestroia for so many reasons,and one of them would have to be runo is always crying saying "dan don't leave me!"

pisses me off.

The only pair that actually makes any sense at all is Julie and her childhood friend,Billy. Kinda tells itself. And the one that's even more anoying than runo and dan is alice and shun.Yup.

pisses me off
