I was browsing through youtube about 2010 games being released, mostly about PS3 games when i stumbled upon this trailer. When you see the trailer i'm about to post you will see why this is going to be F-ing SPECTACULAR!!! The game is called 3D Dot Game Heroes made from "From Software" the same dudes that brought us the magnificent Demon Souls. Of course it will be released in NA by those awesome folks over at Atlus. Anyways without further adieu witness the MAGIC!!! Japanese English Does this remind you of anything? The creators basically say it is a homage to THAT game as well as 8-bit games of the past. The story of this game is freaking brilliant....visit the wiki page about this game to read it for yourself. Classic! C'mon look at the size of that sword!! Scheduled for a May 2010 release it has rocketed up my list of MUST HAVE games!  |

Zelda? And of course this is a PS3 only game, screw off Microsoft. Just looking at it, it looks insanely addictive, darn.

The game will only be $30 or $40 when it is released stateside so it'll be a bargain & a nice little niche title to have just for the ambience. The game uses elements from Zelda in particular cause back then the original Zelda was the bomb! Next to A Link to the Past it is the best game in that series. Anyways i'm definitely going to get this game cause it is nice to be reminded what games were like when i was younger. |

Although I know they are pixels... I can't get off the LEGO-like image... I'mma pick up this game if I could, only to fill in my random bit of gaming. Though yeah, it'll feel like playing on a pop-up fairy tail book.. XD but then again, I could say I'm pretty much unimpressed... :D not saying that it's bad or anything, just plain... yeah... :D

(bump) Game's awesome. I'm taking my good time with it though, since I like to play with some guide next to me, cause the game has important side quests that you need to do, and there's no book to help you keep track of it. -_____-" Really that's the only real flaw I find with the game is because of that, but yeah it's pretty good so far. I'm about to conquer the Fire Temple after I finish up some more side quests. At the same time after all this I want to try to get the Plat Trophy, even thought that might be really difficult. I made Cloud from FF7 and he's my Hero right now!! FTW! XD

You should upload Cloud to the Atlus official website, i bet many people would love to use him! I still have my idea in my head but i have to wait another week before i can go out and pick up a new PS3 system. So i envy you DAngel-san for enjoying this game so much! I do remember that the old Zelda games or any other retro game there isn't any 'hand holding', what you did in the game you have to do/find yourself. Back in the old days when we didn't have any Faqs the only way to get by a level when you are stuck is to talk to friends about it. Or simply buy using trial & error. This 'flaw' they put in 3D DGH i think was intentional, to harken back to those old days. Everything that they did in this game was intentional, right down to the 'plagerism', which i don't get some reviewers that hated the game for doing that. |

Yeah, I used another source, so I'd definitely have to give him a shout. Others I might make are Sephiroth, Koompa (?), Ash, Link (a REALLY good one I could totally make!), etc. I could also make Pikachu and old school Mario, but yeah, maybe later on, they take a while to make. What was the idea you had? Atlus did have some ones, but they're not that appealing honestly. And yeah, I understand the flaw was to be another shoutout/classic thing to Zelda. Yeah people are idiots for not actually reading about the game and just bash it out. X-Play gave it a weird yet high review, saying something about the 2D of the game or something, I forget. You'll like the game though Izumo, but I need to play this on an HD screen, and I will soon when I buy a tv for myself!! Nearly half the game are hidden trophies which is annoying, but yeah there's a lot to unlock in the game. It also helps that it was 20$ cheaper than a full priced game, which made it better of course. ;P

i like how this game is played like tbhe old school zelda but the difference is that it has a diofferent storyline, fun minigames (of course), character c reation, and the environment feels 2D but it's an actually 3D dimension in which it looks 2D the feel of the game is amazing, and i definately give props to this game alot it's amazing

How far are you into the game? Did you do one of the earlier side missions where you have to kill ten of those cloud things yet?

Got my new PS3 (120gb) system earlier than expected so i'm back in the game after a week or two hiatus. After transfering the data from the old PS3 to the new one took some time since a few times the system couldn't detect the ethernet cable. Overall took about 2 hours to transfer all the data. Anyways back on topic, started 3D DGH by creating the characters i've been thinking about. There was about 3 ideas that i had in mind. I made two of them so far...Saber (2 ver. regular & Saber Lily) as well as Shana. The last i'm gonna do is one for my anime gal Sailor Venus! Saber took about 50 mins to do while Shana was almost 40mins. Completed the Grass Temple so far, it is so like Zelda it is awesome...also stumbled upon the 'From Cave', for those who have played Demon's Souls will find this area hilarious! Great game! looking forward to spending more time on it! |

I might make Domo-kun, I saw a nice image of it that could easily be made. XD Plus it'll only require about three or four colors to make anyways. My friend made the Apple (Macintosh) logo for his, it's pretty awesome.

i made hayabusa from ninja gaiden sigma. and also a hakumen for blazblue. i started playing a wee bit but i got bored so i went back to lost planet 2. its summer now so i might play 3d dot game hero for the ultimate sword. my friend beat the game in 4 hours but i saw he only got 14% of the trophies. im guessing its a multiple play kinda game. |

Why would you beat the game that quickly without doing anything else? Geez, some gamer he is... He probably did none of the side quests, not sure how many swords he would've unlocked anyways. Plus I doubt he did Spelunker mode or whatever, then again I've heard that mode is a B****.

I think what we should do is post a pic of the character we created. It would be cool to see what stuff you guys can come up with. I'll post my characters when i get back to playing the game cause i wanted to finish Resonance of Fate before completely diving into the game. I'll show off my Saber from Fate/stay night, 2 versions normal & Lily. Kos-Mos from Xenosaga & maybe my Sailor Venus though she doesn't look right may have to tweek her some more. Also one for Shana as well. *EDIT* Ok here are some pics of Saber & Kos-Mos         |

Yeah I'll post my Cloud one. Might make Seph later on. I'm on Summer break now, but forgot my ps3 games so I only have UFC2010 to play, lol. Yeah, Izumo heard this before from me, but Saber is friggin' epic. Seriously one of the best ones I've seen (characters in general). You should make Dark Saber. That'd be fun. I might make more characters along the way. I saw a nice one of Goku's had, lol, might make that. I just wanna make Link later on, I have to for this game, hahaha. How far are you in the game though, Izumo? I think I'm still only on the fourth temple or so? I'm doing like every side quest though, so it takes longer, but yeah.
