Real 3D Technology

What does everybody think about the next generation of entertainment? They are making lots of movies (mainly kids movies) in real 3d now. they have released tvs with real 3d capabilities now so you can watch them at home. and it seems that nintendo will be making a ds with 3d capabilities though im not sure if it will be the same kind like we have been seeing.

In my opinion i like it, though it gets kinda annoying seeing that almost every movie is becoming 3d (kenny chesney concert in 3d WTF?) but you have to milk the cash cow and i understand that, its business. real 3d is cool in my opinion because it looks like a new type of high definition. its not like the old blue and red corny looking glasses. those were cool but it really didnt engross you to the movie because you couldnt see it in its true color. movies have long sinced evolved. they are recorded in high definition and shown in most theaters digitally so you dont see those spots like on the screen like we use to. so with all that the red and blue glasses would hinder all that. i look forward to the use of real 3d and hope to see it used in current/next gen gaming or even tv shows. what are your guy's opinions on 3d and its future?

The new Pokemon game (Black/White) will feature the 3d system (since it's going to be totally re-innervated).
Here's a small feature of it (more to come for sure, possibly at E3/Tokyo Game show):

With movies though, they need to relax and not get over-dramatic with it.
I don't want to see everything on TV and movie theaters in friggin' 3D.

Of course kid movies would feature more 3d since they're made digitally, and computerized through 3D software and technology.
It can't go too far so quick because not everyone even have normal standard TVs.

Alright! they do that now and the next thing we know... we'll be playing
pokemon *insert mundane color* here in virtual reality... :D

personally, this is just technology evolving... I have nothing against this
since, it'll be more efficient for us right?

movie wise, I think the they should stick using 3D in things that needed cell
shading... I wouldn't mind 2D if it really calls for it. Some say it would be
if Moulin Rouge was shown in 3D, but meh.. it's just personal preference... >.>

In gaming though, if they utilize it to the limit... it would be really nice,
but I'm sure everything will come with their respective hefty prices...

yea keiri everything new usually comes out with a hefty price but for those who wait about a year they are at reasonable prices. thats how blu ray started. they were 40-50 bucks each and now they are pretty cheap. they are 25-30 bucks. all i get is blu ray now because its now at an affordable price for its quality compared to dvd. anyways back on subject. i see what you guys are saying though. of course since its the latest craze its gonna be abused but you know theres gonna be gems out of the trash.

Sony is releasing a free software upgrade for the PS3 this summer that will turn almost all of their games into 3D, except that a 3D TV will be required and they're like $2500 right now.

I'm curious as to how this will work out. Their games weren't developed in 3D so I suspect that it will be that crappy 3D where its just looks like a bunch of 2D planes giving the illusion of 3D.

I still look forward to 3D gaming, though.
