Which anime should I watch now?
Link | by Elyon on 2010-04-18 00:00:39
OKay so the animes I have watched so far are cardcaptor sakura ( which I liked a lot) anad Tusubasa Chronicles, which I liked up until it got to the whole tokyo revolution freaky stuff. I am fine with some death and stuff, but I dont reallt like it getting that intense. I like animes with romance, magic and adventure. I absolutly loved Fay from Tsubasa up until tokyo revolution of course so any animes with a nice supporting character like that would be fantastical. IT would be really helpful if you could post a little blurb of a description with the title of the anime, Arigato!

You could try Pandora Hearts, which is about a boy named Oz Bezarius, who gets sent to the Abyss for some unknown reason and meets a chain called Alice. Together, they escape the Abyss and set off on a journey to discover who they really are. Unfortunately, you'll have to eventually read the manga for a continuation of the story. 25 episodes.

There's also Kyou Kara Maou, which is fairly old. About a boy name Yuuri who gets flushed down a toilet and is transported to another dimension(?), where he turns out to be the next king. You might find it a bit gay, since the main cast is all males, although there are female supporting characters. 117 episodes iirc.

Or another old anime, Shaman King, which is about a lazy boy, Yoh Asakura, who wants to become the next Shaman King through the shaman fight which takes place once every 500(?) years. 64 Episodes.

Hmm... anime with a romance and a supporting character like Fay...
Well, one i can think of is Scrapped Princess(though some nice characters die there, which is annoying) - well, it's an adventure, something about fighting some monsters that've conquered the Earth, along those lines.

Another one is Allison to Lillia, with Benedict at the role of this character, and I recommend this one. Another adventure, though this one isn't about swords and stuff, but more about planes, guns and espionage.

Regios too maybe, with either Sharnid or Savaris. I'd say it's an adventure/action, though they're at one town most of the time. Post-apocalyptic martial arts.

Yami to Boshi to Hon no Tabibito, if you don't mind a bit of yuri :) Some girl, named Eve, a caretaker of a library, where all worlds are kept in form of books has a hobby of going to different worlds and living there as a human, disappearing at the age of 16. So, another girl, our main character, who she acted as a big sister for, chases her after this disappearance along with Eve's older sister, Lilith.

Earl and Fairy is nice too. Really nice. About a man, who claimed to be a Fairy King and a Fairy Doctor, who's helping him at this. Involves various English fairies.

Busou Renkin is another of my recommendations, Papillon rocks :) Main character fights homunculus, saving his town from them... well, at least it begins like that.

And of course Hatenkou Yugi, it has three supreeme characters... the only problem is, it seems it's made after some game/novel/manga and some parts are hard to understand, but same applied to Tsubasa Chronicles. Not much of plot here, just a magician girl, travelling with two guys randomly.

If your a boy, then you could try watching shonen anime like naruto, bleach, yu yu hakusho, code geass r2:lelouch of the rebellion. If you're a girl, try to watch shojo anime like koi koi 7, k-on, perfect girl evolution, ranma 1/2. I know. I've tried.

Based on you liking Romance, Magic, and adventure, you should try out some of these —

• Zero no Tsukaima
One of my all-time favorite anime, it's full of ponderous magic and a wonderful
romance between the main characters. There's even a harem feel, as many of the
women try to get with the male lead – despite him loving the female lead. He sometimes
can't help himself when women are throwing themselves at him though, haha!

There's also plenty of action and a good bit of adventure, and it sounds like something
you would really like.

• Chrome Shelled Regios
``Mogle`` posted something about this anime in their post here. It's actually my
favorite anime of all-time, and my favorite series of all-time, with my tied for
favorite character of anything of all-time. It's a crazy good action anime with
some adventure aspects to it, but not too many. There's plenty of funny moments,
and while it's not obvious there are romance qualities with certain girls liking
or loving the lead, Layfon Alseif.

Based on what you like, this may not be the anime for you, but know it's an amazing
anime if you like it [ as the series is kind of hit-or-miss. Either you love it,
or you don't really like it at all. Try out the first 5 or so episodes! ].

• Tales of The Abyss
One of my favorite anime of all-time, and one of my favorite GAMES of all-time.
If you didn't know, this anime is based off the game of the same name. The story
of this anime, by the way, is EXACTLY the same as the game [ with maybe a couple
minor side story changes or something ].

This has exactly what I think you're looking for – one of the best romances around,
an adventure spanning the whole world and even in a places almost like a second world
[ you'll understand if you watch ], action in every episode, and one of the best
stories of anything you'll ever see. The characters are amazing, and the story
with each is pure gold.
