I went back about 35 pages in the music forum section (maybe I should've gone further? :O) and I couldn't find a thread about this awesome band at all. That kinda makes me sad because these guys definitely deserve more recognition. (Cookies for you if you already know who ONE OK ROCK is and love them as much as I do 8D)

So ONE OK ROCK currently consists of 4 band members, Taka (vocals), Toru (vocals & guitar), Ryota (bass), and Tomoya (drums). There used to be 5 band members (Alex playing the guitar, but he left in May 2009). It's kinda hard to compare ONE OK ROCK to another band because I think ONE OK ROCK has a pretty unique sound. A few sample songs below :D

This is one of their most recent songs, "Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer". (No Alex D:)

"Koi no Aibou Kokoro no Cupid" (came out in 2008) which kinda gave ONE OK ROCK some recogntion (with Alex :D)

â€Naihi Shinshoâ€ which was their major debut single

And "Et cetera" the first song I listened to by ONE OK ROCK that made me fall in love with them 8D

Lol, I love how big Taka's eyes get when he sings sometimes XD Their style has kinda changed throughout the years huh? In a good way though ^__^

This band is pretty underrated despite their catchy songs and amazing vocalist (Taka was supposed to be part of JE's NEWS, but dropped out before NEWS' debut). I love love LOVE this band. They're one of my favorite bands and I hope they get more recognition :D Oh, and BTW, they have a new album coming out on June 9th 8D Source here. So...tell me what you guys think of ONE OK ROCK (and sorry if this is actually a repeat thread >___<)

Yeah. there's alot of band pages in gendou, I dont feel like I should add more. xD; .
Anyways, ONE OK ROCK is pretty awesome. Quite sad that Alex left tho. gonna miss him. and i think ONE OK ROCK's releasing a new single soon i think. check cdjapan.

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that they just released a little compilation was released two days ago called "Jibun ROCK (TSUTAYA Gentei Senkou)" with a new single on it called "Jibun ROCK" XD The other four are some of their past singles like "Koi no Aibou Kokoro no Cupid", "Hitsuzen Maker", and "Naihi Shinsho". "Jibun ROCK" is gonna be on the new album that I mentioned called "Niche Syndrome"

Yat...I feel like you're the only person other person on this site that appreciates J-Rock music (and maybe a few others...) TwT Anyways, I'm glad that ONE OK ROCK is doing fine without Alex, but yeah, gonna miss him too...the random white guy in the group XD

I was really sad that during the whole 2009 year they didn't release anything (probably because of the Alex incident O___o) but when they released "Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer" I was so freaking happy 8D Definitely excited for the album release in June >w<

I didn't have to go far to find a ONE OK ROCK forum â€” I was about to make one!

A group that has really been on the rise and one I've loved since I started
hearing them just over a year or so ago. They have some amazing songs, and specifically
I have loved their recent " Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer " to death, LOL. I've played it
what seems like hundreds of times, and the video itself [ while simple ] is awesome.

On the Subject of Alex, The group sounds great both with and without. I got into
them shortly before he left, and I can't remember what was released before he
left -- but that was the second piece of music I got from them I believe.

As for their style, ONE OK ROCK has the amazing ability [ in my eyes ] that few
bands can really obtain, even early in their career â€” and that's making each and
every song sound unique and new, having something for everyone to love.

Other bands that have this ability [ to me ] are like Back-On, Aqua Timez, Abingdon Boys School,
LM.C, FLOW, Chrome Shelled, just to name a few [ haha, more then a few I guess .. XD ]

I guess that's all I'll rant about for now, until some more people post ~ :]

[ Also, there's nothing wrong with more Band Pages if they don't have one! :D ]

Just started listening to them lately, (well last night really) and I fell in love with their sound immediately. I haven't heard one song I haven't liked yet, and I keep discovering more and more. I downloaded their Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer single and their Kanjou effect album. I wasn't able to find Niche Syndrome though. Is it even out?

`Niche Syndrome` doesn't come out until 6/9/2010, so, June 6th.

It's good to see you like them though! That's alot of what I hear some friends say
when I got them to listen to some of their music. They are just a great band with great
quality and a unique feel to all of their songs.

Their recent song/PV [ that will most likely be on the upcoming album ] that was
posted here, `` Jibun Rock ``, is another amazing song. The video is pretty crazy though, rofl.

Actually, "Jibun ROCK" already came out on a mini-compilation released a little while ago. I think I mentioned it in an earlier post ^___^'

@ Yat: Maybe Alex was holding them back? I mean, they sounded amazing before with Alex, but now I think they sound even better without him!! :O He was kinda basically just a back-up guitarist anyways...that's a little harsh to say though >___<

I think after the album "Kanjou Effect" was released, more and more people started to recognize ONE OK ROCK as an amazing band with unique sound and potential to become better, which is really great. A little late recognition, but still good :3

Oh, it did? I need to find that then, as it'd be great to have now rather then later.

And like with most bands that are considered great, it sometimes takes awhile for
them to be seen that way. Luckily they are starting to get that recognition though.

Doesn't Niche Syndrome come out really soon? I think I heard that it came out around June/July. But I might have been mistaken.
