Clannad, the best or worst anime????

I'm a huge fan of the series as well as the visual novel it originated from. I won't say it is the best anime ever but it like the past visual novels from Key turned to an anime series (AIR,KANON) CLANNAD is not to be missed. Those who have played the visual novel will find it to be a faithful adaptation that envokes memories of that brilliant game. For those who haven't played the game the anime is a beautiful standalone series on it's own. Like the game before it the anime touches your emotions in every way, it does so in the story it tells about friendships, love & loss. It may seem to be a 'moe' kind of anime but you have too look pass all the cutesy stuff...deep down it is a serious, engrossing, heartbreaking series. It may not have the emotional impact that AIR delivered but it is pretty darn close. Key as a developer of visual novels has had a great track record on delivering powerful stories with memorable characters. Why do you think Angel Beats! is having so much success not only in Japan but all around? It is cause Jun Maeda-san & his team know how to tell a story even if it is cliche, he mixes it enough that is is refreshing & different. There are alot of us (fans of Key) out there hoping & praying that Little Busters! will be animated one day.  |

I like Clannad to the bottom of my heart but i cannot put it as the best anime. It somehow equalize,a little confusing at times still it touches me a lot.

Thanks for putting your opinions, everyone. I think it's the time I put out mine. [Even though I said it was great, that's just not all...] I'm sure some would thought that Clannad is worst, but I think more would say it was wonderful. [It's just disappointing that the one aired in our channel (I'm in the philippines and I watch this on some channel. (Cannot say since it would make a commercial without me being paid. XD) doesn't match the voices at all. I had watched this anime on youtube at first and switched to animefreak.tv since there were no more episodes at youtube. It was a great and wonderful anime. [Although the ending disappoints me. I think the ending would be sad but it was been comedy since it was the Starfish girl [Fuko. I often calls her that] is the one who had end the series saying 'Fuko smells something' and sort of that thing together with her sister. There are also some that made me cry like a f****ng baby. the scene where Tomoya told Ushio about Nagisa and he started crying. [Although when I was about to cry, I laugh about Ushio's reaction.] One last thing, the scenes where the Starfish girl [I repeat, Fuko] appear really is funny. [Like when Tomoyo is being confronted by the two dojo captains or whatever they are.] Besides, all of the cast of Clannad was really funny. [Especially the Starfish girl since she always talk in third person]. As the ending of what I think this anime is, thanks again for those who had post their opinions and an advance thanks to those who will be posting their opinions. ^.^ |

Clannad is a good anime, with all the storylines and character personalities, and graphics. I love this anime, but it's not the best anime for me. It's just... Good. But not good enough to be the best in my opinion.  |

I love Clannad as it's one of my all time favorite animes. As I've watched the anime I can never keep a strait face when I watching it as I'm either crying at the tragic or touching moments, or laughing out loud at all the funny moments involving Fuko and her starfish obsession and third person speech, Sunohara and when he gets his ass kicked by Tomoyo, Akki(what Ushio calls Akio), Tomoya(especially his pranks as in the one he did to Sunohara to make him think he's in the future on ep. 3 and the one the did to Fuko where he cracked-up and left her dumbfound on ep.5 or when he imagine like Kyou with the magic wand.), Kyou's violently thrown textbooks, and Kotomi's violin(It destroys reality as she plays it lol) In short, it's a very, very good anime!!(^-^)

It's not the best,but it was good.And it's waaaay too good to be claimed as the worst anime.Thats my opinion.

@lord of flames i agree the TV5 dub was just horrible, I mean I like our dub animes ( i prefer the tagalog dub of dbz and YYH over the original anyday XD) but sadly the dub didn't do justice to the show. not only does it not fit the characters, they sound so old and stuffy that its quite hard to understand them, plus some of the jokes loses it's magic because of the translation and presentation of the dubbers so if someone would say clannad was a bad anime based on the TV5 dub, have them watch the subbed version instead |

Clannad is good, but if speaking of the Clannad After Story I'll rate it as one of the best. Episode 16 of the after story really brings me down so I won't spoil it out haha! speaking of TV5 dub of this anime, yeah it was really horrible hearing the dubber of CC dubbing Nagisa makes me tired to watch it over again in dubbed version. >:))

( SPOILER included ) [clannad + clannad afterstory] its neither, its almost the best with a great story and cast and music and emotion manipulation BUT they ended it horribly, having to follow the visual novel, with the divine intervention ending. pissed me off so much. |

Well it depends. Are you talking about the original or After Story. If your talking about the original then I can't say it's the best, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of the best. If your talking about After Story then I can say it is the best.   |

depend on your taste actually^^, each of us sure have a different taste about anime we watch right, so we free too have our opinion hehehe.. from my view is just an standard anime not too good .. but still worth to watch actually

It was gd, but i wouldn't say the best :/ its definitely worth the watch though :D 
Two things i'd go insane without:
God and music (and possibly Anime and Manga 2 XD) |
