Hey, everyone. I was browsing through the EB games one day, and saw this game called Infinite Space which caught my attention. But what I'm curious about is that from all the blogs and such online, they said that it is a good game with good graphics. I want to know is it really that good? And also is it hard to control especially on Ds? Please give me info about this game.

I enjoyed it a lot (but I have a big thing for earth/space naval military stuff). Customizing the ships in your fleet and such is fun, although I was kind of bummed that there were no outward appearance changes other than the different ship blueprints.

The story isn't too bad. I felt that the second half of the game was kind of a let down in terms of story. I won't spoil anything, but the first half of the game is sort of like a fun space pirate/mercenary plot where you basically bop around the galaxy, taking on other pirates and trying to find out what the Epitaphs are. The second half of the game gets kind of serious and moody. I also didn't really like the ending, but that was more of a personal taste thing on my part.

The battle system is relatively easy to figure out. You basically play a tug of war game with the enemy, moving forward and backward to enter/leave attack range. They also have a melee battle system where you can board an enemy ship and engage them with foot soldiers for a quick win, but honestly it's almost completely worthless. The melee system is essentially just a Rock-Paper-Scissors game, it's usually a bigger risk than simple space battles (since you can't back off from the attack and could instantly lose) and in the later parts of the game you can't even melee enemy ships. My biggest problem with the space battles are the fact that you tend to miss quite a lot early on in the game, which can be really frustrating during boss fights (firing a barrage and missing all but maybe 2 shots only to have the enemy pull a barrage on you and hit you with every single shot).

Recruiting characters is pretty fun, although it's hard to find them most of the time since they only appear in certain locations at certain times, sometimes under certain conditions. Also, the game sometimes isn't clear where you have to go or what you have to do. I got lost a few times because the game had either given me a vague idea of what to do or because I had saved it and came back at a later time (like after sleeping) and forgot what I was supposed to be doing. It's also a little difficult to try and remember where certain planets are, since they all have weird made up names and are in different sectors. Characters will just tell you the name of the planet and then you'll have to scour the map looking for said planet again. One final point, it's also pretty hard to earn money in the game until pretty far in, so you are usually just scraping by.

Overall I had fun with the game. I would recommend it if you like battleship style RPG's and ship management.

As for your control question, you don't really use the stylus all the much. You control the whole game with it, but all you really do is tap buttons.

Wow, that's awesome. Also from several of the pics I see online, I notice there are some anime footage in the game. So what is it like for the anime part in general in the game?

There's only one actual anime cut-scene (the opening one). Everything else is just still pictures and in game cut-scenes (using the games graphics engine). The in-game stuff still looks pretty cool though, especially since the cut-scenes actually show your ship instead of a default one (I had a huge battleship near the second part of the game and it looks awesome during cut-scenes).

Sorry, can't give you any help with pirated stuff, I don't deal with that and therefore have no idea how to work it. I would say you'll just have to do some Googling.

Infinite Space\" features hand-drawn 2D graphics and anime-style character designs. While the game\'s visuals are generally praised for their artistry and attention to detail, it\'s important to note that the graphics are limited to the capabilities of the Nintendo DS, which may appear dated compared to minecraft apk gaming platforms.
