Angry Hirano Aya Fans...

Okay seriously, this is really ridiculous. Check this out:
Well-known top seiyuu Hirano Aya, known for her roles as Haruhi in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Konata in Lucky Star, etc., made an appearance on the Fuji TV program Gout Temps Nouveau where the young idol's love life became a topic of discussion. Speaking of her experiences in past relationships, it was a grave subject for an idol to talk about so openly, and unsurprisingly, fans' reactions weren't positive.

Fans became enraged in front of their TVs and took to 2ch, where they wrote abusive messages towards Hirano and, allegedly, even began planning her death. As Hirano herself had never said in front of her fans that she'd been in a relationship until now, amongst her core zealous fanbase, the majority seemed certain that she'd never had a boyfriend. Therefore, the appearance on this program was the very first time Hirano had ever spoken of any such romance like those she described, and the fans' rage in response to having watched the program was uncontrollable.

Even though it was merely the ordinary girl's talk commonly seen on and expected from Gout Temps Nouveau, Hirano's fans, who had truly believed in her supposed lack of a boyfriend, were full of tearful, anguished comments. Not stopping at just those, however, their outrage spiraled out of control as some users began planning for the assassination of their former idol, one comment reading, "I'm glad I didn't record [the program]; I'm going to kill Hirano Aya." Even on the seiyuu's Wikipedia page, a string of characters reading "die" was written approximately 67,000 times (as of now, the article has been restored to its original form). Meanwhile, in a slightly less extreme reaction, fans in possession of her CDs and posters have been destroying them and uploading pictures of the ruined merchandise to the Internet. This upset towards Hirano seems like it won't die down for a very long while.

Source is from here or so, and also includes some of the photos fans uL.

A lot of people know I was one of the biggest Haruhi fans around, more importantly one of the biggest, if not biggest Hirano Aya idol fan. ;P
Can't say I'm the same as years before for example since her career has slowed down since then,
but I'm still a fan of hers, but to this extent of fanism, Otakus or just people with no lives have revealed themselves.

I knew this would come up eventually one day, I thought about it once myself...
when I claimed Hirano Aya for myself and planned to steal her away one day. XD

But yeah, seriously when I read this, doesn't surprise me except that it went public.
Maybe it's just cause Hirano Aya's such a huge idol? Or how big fans are of hers?
I was just like "wow, really now...", in that sense when I finished reading this.
Otaku's are pretty serious in Japan, I sincerely hope nobody does something horrible, or any one of her fans anywhere really.
Her fanbase is just as strong as the Haruhiism fanbase in its prime days.

So what do you guys think? I'm sure you guys might be upset but she never said she had a boyfriend, only talked about it.
Can't believe someone broke their Riot Girl CD of hers, even though it wasn't that good, but still! XD
And these are only three of what possibly millions of pictures... I can't even imagine the carnage....

This is just...super sad and pathetic of over obsessed Hirano Aya fans...do they really expect that someone as cute/pretty as herself would have never been in a relationship before? That's just wishful/unrealistic thinking.

Besides, even if she never was in a relationship, they can't expect her to never be in one eventually. And it's not like she would go out with any random fan. She's an idol, a celebrity...most likely she's gonna date another celeb.

Way too out of control for fans. I'm afraid if this negativity goes on any longer, Hirano Aya might end up doing something, bad. It's her life you crazy otaku Hirano Aya fans, let her live it the way she wants to.

Something like this happens to all celebrities sooner or later. These otakus need to learn not to take their loves so seriously, honestly...

Voice Actress Haruna Ikezawa's Stalker Found Guilty

Hiroshi Sasaki gets suspended term for defamation, multiple emails asking for personal meeting
Tokyo District Court's Tachikawa Branch found 28-year-old Hiroshi Sasaki guilty of stalking voice actress Haruna Ikezawa (Sgt. Frog, Futari wa Pretty Cure, Maria Watches Over Us) and gave him a suspended sentence on Tuesday. The unemployed Morioka City man was charged with defamation and violations of Japan's anti-stalking law for defaming Ikezawa on her homepage's bulletin board system and sending email messages requesting a personal meeting.

Sasaki received a 18-month sentence, but it was suspended for five years. If Sasaki does not break the law during those five years, he will not actually have to serve prison time. The prosecution had asked for an 18-month sentence without suspension. In his sentencing, Judge Haremitsu Mōri said that Sasaki did not worry about the trouble he caused the victim with his relentless messages, and the judge added that it was a "selfish, despicable crime."

From February to April of 2009, the suspect sent 16 mobile phone email messages that said, among other things, "Come by yourself to Morioka, since it's only two hours by shinkansen ('bullet train')." Ikezawa revealed on her official website in February of 2009 that she has an restraining order against a stalker who she did not name at the time.

Well I am a huge Haruhi / Hirano Aya fan but personally I am not even the slightest bit phased after discovering she has a boyfriend... WHO CARES? HONESTLY? Psychos that actually care about that don't deserve to be fans of Hirano Aya.

It's Kannagi all over again. The whole generation and their funny sense of entitlement, it's like they can't accept this is the real world where they're not the main characters who score with all the girls.

And it's better not to remember that whatever 8-year-old girl you're watching is actually voiced by a 40-year-old something seiyuu, who is probably in her own mid-life crisis.

Maybe she did this on purpose =P To get rid of those serious fans. It's just simply talking about boyfriend, not as if she mention what she did with her boyfriend overnight, mentioning out / showing out unnecessary scenes like Miley Cyrus -_-

So she should remain single, lonely virgin forever so legions of nerdy guys could daydream about her? Of course they could still daydream about her, since it's all fantasy anyways.

What really bothers me is all the hate; they want to 'punish her' for having a life by killing her? Right.

If you felt .anything. at all by the news then you might want to consider a little soul searching. Because a one sided obsession with a woman that doesn't even know you exist (or even live in the same country) is not healthy.

Well judging from that article back then, it didn't appear she confirmed having a current relationship with anyone.
Regardless though, people really get mad over these, it's just the world from a really big fan.

That's absolutely insane. It kind of shows how different the celebrity culture is between American celebrities, and Japanese ones. You'd never see that much of a reaction to an American celeb admitting to a prior relationship.

And her "fans" sound more like psychopathic nut jobs. You have to have some real stalker tendencies to have such a high level of possessiveness over a person that you get completely incensed simply because it turns out they have a normal love life. I'm really pretty disgusted that so many people like that apparently exist.

With love, Arabbel My Youtube Channel
