A little late but it is definitely worth mentioning that yesterday Sept.9.2010 marked the 15th anniversary/birthday of the Playstation brand. For 15 years the Sony PS brand has given gamers countless memories & hours of gameplay. Introducing us to some of the biggest franchises in gaming, from Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Tombraider, Crash Bandicoot, Persona, and so much more. Taking nothing away from Nintendo & their contribution to the gaming industry but the PS1 was my first console that i owned & i never looked back. My fave memory is i remember staying up (not sleeping) for 7 straight days when Final Fantasy 7 first came out. I grew up with the PS brand & these 15 years of gaming are the best i ever had. Games like FF7, Xenogears, Chrono Cross, LotD, Lunar, MGS1, Parasite Eve, Colony Wars, just to name a few left deep memories in my heart that i sometimes smile everytime i see clips of these games. The PS name brought gaming to the masses & to this day is the highest selling console line of all time. Gaming just wasn't for kids anymore. So it is with great pleasure that i wish Playstation a happy 15th anniversary & hope for another 15 years of memories. Who else has been with the PS brand for all these years & what are your fave memories about the system that started it all? *note* Those boot up sounds of the PS1 & PS2 are so awesome!!!  |

Happy Belated Birthday Playstation! Damn! The preview for the Playstation Move! I'm sure that will be the 'WiiKiller'. I kinda grew up with the Sony's gaming console and have that sort of bond with it. Hands down, PS3 pwns the Xbox 360 and NO, I'm not interested in a debate(been doing that to Xbox fanatics). Unanimous votes and numerous reviews have proven to the statement that Sony's PS3 overshadows its rival, the Xbox 360. KEEP ON MAKING CONSOLES SONY!     |

... Happy belated birthday playstation. I always loved the PSX, and the PS2! Been planning on buying the PS3... But its either I don't have the money when theres a PS3 for sale, or I have the money but theres no PS3 for sale. Anyway... for this generation's console rivalry problem, I don't really care much about it.  |

Hai. Wasn't earlier last year or something the PS2's anniversary? The PS3 will be around for a good time, and the gaming industry will soon re-shape itself under the PS name once again. I never compare the Wii to the PS3, but the 360 will soon be a dead system. I can't wait to see how badly Kinect fails!!

Though I'm more of a sony fan,i don't think 360 won't be dying anytime soon. With more than 3 million xbox live subscribers I don't see them going down anytime soon. If kinect fails it fails but I doubt it will turn 360 owners from their 360. Even with hardware issues 360 owners stuck with their consoles. It has loyal fanbase just like apple and any other company
