Like the title says! What would you call yourself? Average? Casual? Hardcore?

I would say that I'm not a hardcore, or a casual gamer, but more along the lines of a serious gamer. I tend to joke off sometimes, but for the most part, I'm more than often in it to win it. I think it also depends on what game your playing, and your relationship with the people you're playing with. If you're playing a complete stranger you're not gonna be all "IN YOUR FACE, SUCK IT!" save for Call of Duty and other FPS. But I think the more family oriented games, will be taken less seriously, like Wii Sports, unless the game starts getting intense.

I used to be your average gamer; although, I've drifted more along the lines of casual gamer recently, despite the fact that I don't play any casual gamer games. For example, the only gaming system I really play games on nowadays is the DS, and the only series I seriously watch is the Pokemon series. I'm interested in other games for other platforms, but I'm not serious enough of a gamer to actually go and get the system and the games I'm interested in, if that makes sense.  |

I guess I'm an average gamer... I don't win a lot but I always try to win... but then sometimes I'm too lazy to try... Now that I think about it, Call of Duty is the only game I can get really competitive in. If you play an online game with me while I happen to have a headset on, you'll only hear trash talk from my side... But if you're talking about DS games, I'm never serious. I like super-powered up characters and items and everything, but just for fun. :)  |

lol, with no internet, I've become more of a whatever-gamer. XD Well I have internet, but not a good thing playing with DSL speeds. :(

I used to be somewhat of a hard core- extremist gamer, averaging around 60 hours a week but ever since then I became bored even with the most popular series. I feel it is more fun to let your imagination run free in a Role Play.  |

Just average I think. I don't quite like games that are too hard and a bit challenging cause I will most likely give up on it and move on to other games. So usually I go with easy /human/beginner level to begin with if I have the option to choose. After I beat the game then I go for normal or hard to get achievements/trophies. Also I play for achievements and story, if there's nothing more to it then I will play other games. Except online because they're fun and you get to meet new friends my weakness : fps games that I'm stuck not knowing which way to go next. My head will go spinning and I will throw up. Yes it sounds crazy but it really happens    |

somewhere inbetween average and hardcore. if i find a game and really get into it i'll play it for every waking moment i have without eating but if i get bored with it or i beat it completly i wont play for days or sometimes weeks and will just lazily wander around.

For me, I think I'm a hardcore gamer now. Capable of finishing FPS within hours, beating Mass Effect 2 in 2 weeks xD Or maybe due to the fact that I played a lot games both from PC and consoles. I trained my Front Mission 3 characters for hours before sending them to the real mission... I also like some casual games (for example, Torchlight and Crimsonland) but not for long though... That's about it then.   |

I think I'm more towards average or casual...depending on my availability. I swear these days it's hard for me to play games since my bros are hooking the TVs and i'm left with only handhelds. I only go hardcore in certain RPGs like Ys and Star Ocean series. (Ys have lots of difficult hardcore-some bosses) XD  |

I remember playing my uncle's Final Fantasy X-2 for more than a day but not until a week. Haha! And then playing my cousin's .hack//G.U. for.. two days? And nonstop playing my own Pokemon Diamond.. until that black NDS Lite is taken away from me. /cry And.. OH! I remember playing my own Final Fantasy IX everyday haha! And more. Then, when my cousin have Tales of Eternia, I was like "THIS PSP AND THIS ToE ARE MINE BUWAHAHAHA!!". |

Since I'm a portable type person, I'd say hardcore. Bringing it everywhere, playing when there's a chance... Good times...

I would say I'm hardcore, in the sense that I buy and play a lot of games, and tend to play for extended periods of time. I don't play any casual games, or at least I don't play any games that I would consider casual (I love the Pokemon games in the main series and I don't consider them casual). There are some games that I get kind of obsessed over, but I don't really stick to one title for too long. I generally move on to a new game once I have finished the story mode of another.    |

Definitely hardcore, though since I have a family I do casual game often also. But I do those 12 hour to a day gaming sessions still. I don't play online as much as I used to due to me having to multitask watching my 1 year old and trying to play. online games can't be paused so i stopped for awhile. I'm going to try get back into online gaming especially when socom 4 comes out

I'm definitely between a casual and hardcore gamer. :] But I only usually play portable. I love my DS lite. I bring it everywhere with me. I play it more than I study. And I'm picky when I play game. I usually only play first party developer games and second party developer games. I sometime play third party games like sonic but most of the third party game sucks. I use to do a lot of online gaming. When it comes to RPG, dude I'm totally a hardcore gamer. I yell at everybody that bother me while I'm playing. :D Other than that, I am a casual gamer when it comes to all the other type of games.  |

Average on most games. Casual on games I don't care about or ones I suck at. Which are mainly shooter games. Hardcore in Pokemon XD

I CONFIDENTLY say I am a HARDCORE Gamer Despite being a System Analyst.. coz I play Games like GTA Series, ManHunt Series, FallOut, SAW (The Game), also... I think I played every game type.. Er.. I Mean, First Person Shooter, RPG Games, MMORPG, Strategy Games, Board Games (lol?), Detective Games, Text-based games. e.g. Icariam, Facebook games.., Sports Games, Driving Games,, Well.. Do tell me if I missed one.. LOL FYI,, I DO PLAY DOTA?? Wanna Play with me.. haha  |
