Favorite animes from the '90's?

In my opinion, the '90's were the best decade for anime there are very few shows/movies before or since then that I find come close to being as good as those from the the nineties, at least from the same genre.

So I'll ask:

What are your favorite shows that ended in 1990, began in 2000 or existed anytime in between?

Meitantei (Detective) Conan for example started in 1996 and is still running but I would still consider it a series from the '90's. Also, I used 2000 instead of 1999 because technically the Christian calender started with the year 1 A.D. and therefore nineties go from 01/01/1991 to 12/31/2000, so I'll go with 1990-2000 in case anyone want to be nit-picky.

My picks in no particular order or ranking:

There's EVA from 1995 and Gundam W from '96 choosing between these would be very difficult EVA, I would say, is among one of my favorites of all time, however, it's not show that I care to watch very often. Gundam W, on the other had, is also very enjoyable but in a different way.
Oh My Goddess!! from '93
Marmalade Boy 1994-1995 one of my all-time favorites in it's genre, after a recent re-watching of this show, it's impossible for me to come up with anything that grabs one's attention as much as this show does. A wonderfully fun story that is at times heart warming and at other times heart wrenching. It's full of happy and sad moment and home of arguably the one of the best ending every to this type of show.
Tenchi Muyo! 1992 (I guess you could include any of the versions of Tenchi except maybe Tenchi in Tokyo) the grand daddy of all harem anime and still the best. This is also the show that originally got me into anime.
X 1999 from... 1996 I'm not a big fan of sad endings or dark stories but this movie was quite good.
Love Hina 2000 Narusegawa Naru is one of the earliest examples of a tsundere character that I can think of... although the word tsundere did not yet exist at the time.
FLCL 2000... Gainax hasn't done anything bad yet...
Ranma ½ 1989-1992 was very fun though like everything else that Takahashi Rumiko has created (Urusei Yatsura, and Inu Yasha for example) it got quite dull after the 3rd season. But who could forget Anything Goes Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics????
Rurouni Kenshin 1996-1998 You can't talk about '90's anime without mentioning Kenshin although, this show did also get a bit dry after the 3rd season.

At the time, I didn't care for Magical Girl shows but I haven't forgotten about Sailor Moon, i just ignored it. I have recently watched some of Magical Girl Pretty Sammy (a spin-off of Tecnhi) and I've had fun with the little bit of that show that I've seen so far. And I did watch DBZ but I don't really think it stands out in any particular way, except may it's ability to stall...

What are your picks for this era?

Weren't the nineties awesome? I think anime has become a bit clichéd since the so it's rare that a more modern show/movie is as good.

Oh, and the most awesome one I forgot in my initial post:

SLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW COULD I FORGET SLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slayers MADE Hayashibara Megumi! It made her iconic enough that she's actually appeared in anime... not as a mere seiyuu but as an actual character, something very few seiyuu can say.
