Who is your favorite character from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I bet you can all tell mine. If not take a wild guess who mine is, it's quite self explanatory. |

Hmm, I love Evangelion. I learned a lot about myself through it and it's also one of the crucial animes that helped me recover (I'ts a LONG and CONVOLUTED story). In any case, my favorite character would be Gendou as well (Looks wise). But, if it's about which character on an overall basis, then none. However, I do have to say that during those times when I was still watching the anime for clues to my life, I resembled somewhat closely to Shinji. In fact, I'd say that all the characters have a little bit of me in each of their personalities; so, I've just gotta agree with the creator.  |

True Evangelion is one of those animes that make you delve into your true being, or at least some people it does; others I find it tends to freak them out. It basically from what I got near the end was Shinji had found out that he can't expect others to make him happy, that happiness is a choice that he makes himself and that he is in control of his life and not others. Also the fact that nothing gets done if you just run away from your problems. Or at least that's what I got. My favorite character is Gendo (though it's quite obvious I think.) I tend to share a strong liking or link if you may say with that character and his personality. I suppose it has something to do with my somewhat antisocial behavior and poor people skills as well as my distant cold exterior I have to new people, or people I don't like. I'm not really sure if that's the case I have been told by some friends that is the Gendo traits they see in me. |
