It's obvious COD will win in sales, cause people are idiots. If you give a copy of each game to 10 random people on the street, 9/10 of them will prefer COD. Why? Cause COD is simpler to get into, doesn't make it a better game/series necessarily, hell no. Some people here already know about what I think about Activision and MW3. Regardless of what happens on a lawsuit level, BF3 will rape ANY shooter this year. Hands down. No competition. Sales? F#ck sales. COD consumers are idiot. Buy the same game with a recycled storyline and same multiplayer? You're right, BF3 will win in everything else, especially in gameplay. Not sure how the previous storyline was, but obviously with these game, it's about online. Now COD's been named the top gaming franchise in gaming today and is known for its run 'n' gun style while BF takes on a more realistic approach while still remaining possible to play without making things too realistic. Now MW2 did great, but BF:BC2 beat it. Obviously they're rushing MW3 to try to beat their rivals. Also you gotta love Frostbite 2.0 engine for BF3. The footage already revealed for PC looked polished, can't imagine how much it'll blow my eyes out once it releases on PS3. They announced today at E3 that pre-orders (I think) for PS3 (only) will get BF 1943 for free as well! I can care less about another COD game unless it's from IW's side, and you can bet that once they win their lawsuit, you're gonna see a new COD (or shooter) very soon. ------- |

lol i love your cod rants. This time around i think battefield 3 has my interest. i saw the gameplay for mw3 and its not impressive in the least. I took mw2 back next day but black ops was actually a good game from treyarch. If you try it you might actually like it. calling cod consumers idiots though seems kind of harsh especially when alot of us actually played it together and enjoyed it very much. Battlefield 3 though definitely has my eye out of the 2 this time around. Battlefield actually has the bigger fanbase on PC so it probably get the bulk of it sales there. And of course since EA is publishing it, it will get the marketing it needs so it just up to DICE to make sure they make a good game so that reviews will back it up. Thats pretty much what happened to medal of honor. It got the marketing but the game was lacking so it didnt get the sales it wanted. |

(I know you love 'em) I'm not saying you're an idiot if you buy COD. What I'm saying is that it has such a huge fanbase now, any fan will buy it just cause it's "COD". It's a branded franchise now and fans who just hear about a possible new game will buy it regardless of anything else. They call Black Ops the recycled MW2, and Activision is ruining the series in itself. They're simply going to keep making COD games for the money, aka "milking" the series. COD now is like the Halo for Microsoft, in terms of what I just explained. DICE had help as well, I think they said like 12 or so studios took part in it, so it's going to be intense. Already from the footage, I hope the storyline's improved, though like I said it's mainly going to focus on the multiplayer, which will already be good. I'm not here to rant, you can easily find debates about COD everywhere else as well. Honestly I thought MOH (PS3) was good. Yeah it had no support, but honestly people are over drafting it too much. Yeah it lacked a lot of mechanics and had bugs here and there. I don't think they really put much thought into it, but it's a pretty good concept, because it's a BF game that plays like COD. Since the IW guys are a part of EA, it'd be interesting to see if they can help that series out and reboot it. Definitely possible and worth tuning into if it happens. But yeah, not sure if I'll have anymore credit by the time BF comes out. According to E3, it comes out in October, beta in September, and it's definitely a game I want to get. 100% I'm getting UFC Undisputed 3 next year (hopefully January release). BF3 is a "?" as of now. ------- |

haha ive pre-ordered MW3 as well as BF3. im a CoD fanboy tho but i dont want to be too one-sided about this. the one thing i hate about these games... well any multiplayer game that has voice chat capabilities, are the 12 year old kids. their mostly on consoles thank god (im a PC gamer). ive been discussing this same topic with my friends. some think that the BF3 sales will over take MW3 since its being promoted alot. but youtube veiws tend to treat these opinions differently. like how MW3 got X amount of views in 3 days were BF3 took a few months to get to that many views. then again the CoD fanbase comes into play. i also find it funny how CoD are releasing CoD: ELITE or something like that... its a pay-per-month service, the thing i find funny about this is that... bungie does the same service for the halo series, and its free... its like they dont make enough money from CoD sales already |

lol, those losers are going to be everywhere. Good thing we can mute them. ^_^ I'm expecting a huge amount of sales (at least more significant than BF:BC2) but yeah we'll see. I never get bent out of shape though about sales, sales doesn't determine the value of the game itself. And I heard about that COD: whatever service. Microsoft service? They showed footage of each game at E3 which I missed yesterday, so I'll watch their live demos later. ------- |

Yeah I saw it too, until I saw BF3's gameplay footage and still got blown away. Easily from what I saw, BF3 looked like it was on the next generation's platform. Far superior graphics and audio, and the footage itself looked like they were hunting down Ben Laden. I saw MW3's gameplay footage, and wasn't really impressed. Nothing seems new, nothing even looks better from MW2. I read countless reviews that Black Ops fell behind MW2 in audio, graphics, and multiplayer, which is different in Black Ops. It's funny how in the Machinima interview they were talking about how audio and graphics were their most important thing sort of, and honestly BF3 still and originally from my opinion, looks far superior in graphics, audio, and possibly gameplay. ...then again if you saw AC3's (Revelations) trailer, you'd s#it you pants. God damn best game trailer ever! ------- |

"COD consumers are idiot." "I'm not saying you're an idiot if you buy COD." Lol Battlefield 3 is going to have stronger audio and graphics, hands down. If their E3 demo showed anything its that, in those regards, their game is the best on the market. However, in terms of gameplay, I found their live demo during EA's conference to be a snooze fest. The urban warfare they showed earlier in the year, and during their trailers, looked much more interesting and like a heck of a lot more fun. I'm going to be skipping on BF3, at least until it hits the Wii U, and stick to MW3 and Uncharted 3 as my multi-player shooters of choice. Biggest reason is an overall lack of cash, which seems even lackier (made it up on the spot) now after such intense games at E3 (like 8 games from Nintendo alone for this holiday season, followed by Uncharted 3, Dead Island, Skyrim, Disgaea 4, and more). Second reason being I know one person who might get it, whereas I know three people getting MW3 for sure. Makes the choice for MP shooter easier for me. @DA I enjoyed the MOH Ps3 beta/demo, and was going to buy the game until I feasted my eyes on Nintendo's E3 lineup that year. And the dudes from IW were the ones who started MoH before moving to Activision. They didn't want to keep making CoD, so I doubt they'll want to jump back on MoH. What is their group called now? Respawn? Reform? As for CoD Elite, most of its services are free, such as a lot of the features available for bungie's thing. They actually haven't been altogether too clear on what services it provides are free and what are paid. I'll be enjoying its freemium model though, for sure. On that note, I will not be paying for their premium model either. |

The E3 demo was only demonstrating the tank (aka tank gameplay), not more on base of the game. They're also going to continue releasing more footage. I found a comment on youtube quite amusing when someone said "Battlefield 3's modern warfare is better than modern warfare's modern warfare". :D Yeah the IW guys are called "Respawn Entertainment", and I'm sure they're working on a few secret projects. I just want to know more about their lawsuit and if it's even over or not, cause it's like empty right now. The COD series is loosing "taste", I'm sure the IW guys (I like to use their IW tags better) will work on new stuff, especially since they're with EA's top studios like DICE, etc. Oh yeah, btw Maiku, did you ever get Brink? If you still are I'll give you my redeem code for the pre-order stuff. I traded in Brink (cause it sucks balls) and since PSN went down never was able to redeem it. I'll give it to you or your brother faded if he wants it, just lemme know (or PM me). ------- |
