so I've played Valkyria Chronicles 2. and it's COOL. i like the BLiTZ battle system, that makes me feel like a commander. and the story's not some cheap cliche plot, every character got their own background. THAT"S HUGE!!though i never have the chance to play the first installation ( ps3 is quite..expensive for a college student to afford XD ) but hey, I've just read about Valkyria Chronicles 3. NO LOCALIZATION?!! WHADDYA MEAN??!! at least just produce subtitles, damn you Sega! ( as if I care about English dubbing).. you guys got intel on this? please bring me some good news. arigatou.. |

It seems to be true, unfortunately. Source: Valkyria Chronicles 3 not planned for North America, Europe. I hadn't looked up anything on this in a while, instead just waiting to hear about it when it got a release date. After seeing your post though, I had to go and look, and of course I found that article. It's from October, but it's the most recent article related to it. As a massive Valkyria Chronicles fan, I am severely disappointed by this revelation. I was a little let down by VC2 in terms of characters and story, and I was seriously looking forward to VC3 because it seemed to address those problems. The concept and characters seemed much more interesting than VC2. I gave up hope on another PS3 entry in the series, but now it looks like they won't even be making another handheld entry either. This was one of Sega's best new series too, and it had to sputter out so early. >.> I'm not sure what I'm going to do now. The guy from Sega said that they would talk to Sony about a digital download of the game for the Vita, but I have serious doubts that that will happen. I may go ahead and just import it from Japan now. I'll be able to get through the gameplay, but I won't be able to get anything at all out of the story or characters, because I don't speak Japanese. This is really depressing news. -_- Please Atlus, come to the rescue on this one! |
