I'm dead tired at the moment, so I won't do some long introduction post about the game or stuffs, LOL. FFXIII-2; You have it? Want it? Played it? Love it? Hate it? Discuss! I bought the collector's edition game and guide [Not worth it, but hey, it's FF!] and I have to say I was pleased with the game. The main story was too short, but, there is so much to do in the game otherwise. Not to mention the improvements over FF13, even though the battle system stayed mostly the same. I actually found myself really liking the battle system this time though -- and I think that's due to the removal of any leveling limits, the prebattle deal where you can get the early strike, and also the mosnter system. Great additions. I'll talk more when I'm not so tired, and other people post! Woo! |

Screw the game, I want to see Serah in a bikini which was pre-order DLC apparently. I played the demo and I think I fell for her. ^_^ ------- |

PSSSH. That's actually going to be released sometime this month, apparently. That one wasn't a preorder deal. Her one preorder deal, from gamestop, wasn't much to get excited about. I did pick up Noel's DLC though for 2.99, and the Lightning/Amodar DLC for the same price. I rather enjoy those, even though I've beaten the game. Still gotta get all those fragments. Plus, the ending to the game was such a troll. We have to wait for either XIII-3 or a DLC ending. I'm really hoping they just go with the DLC ending, cause waiting for another game is ridiculous. They're learning how to milk a series in DLC now, which is annoying. They learned well [lookin' at you Call of Duty.. and pretty much all other mainstream titles]. |

Oh I see. Wasn't there an Ezio DLC costume pack, too? I'm sure I saw of one to the main male character. About Lightning, I like her costume design in this game. A bit more detail and she looks more attractive. You beat the game already? Nice. Sucks about the ending. I also saw these pictures on DA.com... *dirty thoughts* XD ------- |

LOL GET THAT OUTTA HERE. And yeah, there -will- be some Ezio costume DLC for Noel. I want it so bad, but not even Japan has it yet. Means it'll prolly be awhile before we get it. As for beating the game, that's not too big a deal. It's reeeeally short for the main story. I'm disappointed how short it is for the main story. Luckily there is a lot of extra stuff to do and things to complete, unlike FF13. |

I wouldn't be surprise if they did make XIII-3 (they sure love playing with roman numerals). It would be the first if my memory is correct that a game went to a third trilogy in FF series. However I think they're getting ready to promote FF-14, so I'unno. Also, wasn't there another FF-13 game? I swear there was another title, too... Hmmm... ...I can show you the pictures. >:D ------- |

FINAL FANTASY XIII VERSUS. THE GAME I GOT MY PS3 FOR, THAT HAS YET TO COME OUT. RAGE. RAGE. SO MUCH RAAAAAAAAGE. And it would be the first "???-3" title they ever did. They did register a domain name with FFXIII-3 in mind, but they said that was just to protect their title. For the bathing suit though, yeeeeah, I saw it, LOL. Gonna be interesting to see it if I get it. The pictures show it a bit more revealing than I expected... |

Don't get excited for the secret ending. Its nice, but it doesn't really shed any light on anything as far as the ending goes [DLC or XIII-3, etc]. I would hope for a DLC ending, but the XIII-3 seems more likely. I really don't want a XIII-3 though. I think it's pretty lame with how they've done things with XIII in milking it for all they can. Sure, they're a business and a company, and they're suppose to do what it takes to make money, but it doesn't mean I need to like it. I just want Versus to come out. That's all I need! THEN I CAN BE HAPPY.. ;_; |

The bikini is nice, really nice actually, but the pictures I'm talking about... well, I can't post them here for certain reasons... ^_~` Let me just say people are getting REALLY good at 3D design! They look legit real. ;P Since when have you seen any game release a simple DLC just to get some ending. Fans always want this with games but it's better to release a new game; more money... I guess cause in recent years XIII seems to be more successful then recent FF, as I recall. Also people are edgy with FF-14 already. ------- |

FFXIV was one of the biggest flops in gaming, if you ask me. It was almost as bad as the Final Fantasy movie they made yeeeears back, which basically led to Squaresoft having to join with Enix to become Square Enix. So yeah, FFXIV may not have been as bad as the movie, but the game has been horrible. They had to actually let players have a whole year free! Now I hear they're starting subscriptions, and all I can say is gooood luuuuck with that. For the pics though.. LOL. DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS THAT. People are really good with the 3D design these days.. hahaha. When it comes to DLC though, we already know 13-2 will have DLC that centers around Sazh during the game's events. That was planned from before. We may also get something for Snow, but Snow is already getting a novel released in Japan that follows his journey during 13-2 as well. They're really milking 13-2 for all it's worth. I still stand by what I've always believed, though; DLC is bull. I don't mind certain DLC, since I just won't buy it, but when it comes to most of the DLC out there, it's a rip-off. You pay 60 bucks for games these days, and then within a week or two they want you shelling out 5 bucks here, 5 bucks there, maybe some new maps for 15! It's annoying when new games cost as much as they do. Take 13-2 for example. You have the costume option in the game, but you get NO costumes in the game. You have to buy them all as they release [or get a preorder bonus]. and Don't get me started on preorder bonuses. I don't mind having them, but it's a pain when different stores have different bonuses. Why should we have to choose what we want when we're paying the money we are? Aggggh, I'm so off track now, LOL. BACK TO 13-2.. |

lol well FF has been making a new game over the years so yeah they've been milking their franchise for quite some time. FF has definitely changed though a lot of the main people who made the earlier versions (most notable 7) work elsewhere I believe, which is probably why most of the later versions have taken a steady decline in.. "quality". I've made a thread about pre-order bonuses and DLC. Please rant there. XD I don't buy games that much these days, in fact I only have 2 games (and a bunch of downloaded games) on my PS3. Other than UFC:U3 and NSG which I'm already planning on getting this Spring, I stay away from buying every title. Also not a lot of games catch my value, and my wallet for the price. ------- |

@DA — I gotta dig up that forum to unleash my rage. MY ABSOLUTE RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE... But yeah, the majority vote is that FF has really declined. FFIX is my favorite game all-time, though, and FFX was amazing. Certainly a top ten game for me. XII was a great game, but I didn't like the way the "main characters" didn't act like "main characters" and were instead like narrators. FFXI was well-recieved, but I still don't agree with making a numbered title an online title -- and FFXIV, their next online game, has crashed and burned. I never held FFXIII that high on my list, despite it having a great story and of course stunning visuals. I really didn't like the linear gameplay, leveling, battle system, and a few other things. FFXIII-2, however, changed everything. I love the gameplay, the side stuff, and even have come to love the battle system thanks to a few minor tweaks from 13's. The only issue I have with the game now is the ending [still upset over it] and the length of the main story. I'm tempted to do a speed run of the main story, because it feels like I could beat it in 10 or 12 hours just doing the bare minimum. Regardless, I'm somewhat excited for the Sazh side-story coming out the 28th. I plan to pick it up [5 bucks] and you get him as a playable character in the main game after that. Once I finish getting all the fragments in my game now, I'm thinking of starting a new game. My levels are so high nothing posses much of a threat, lmao. @Miroku — I don't blame you if length is your complaint. That's my issue with it. However, I think the game was pretty great, and a huge step forward for Square Enix after not delivering so well lately. I still want Versus, though. That'll be the best game they've done if it actually lives up to the hype. And strangely enough, I think it will live up to the hype and even surpass it. |

Yeah the main thing I've learned is that [hardcore] fans of the old FFs won't like the new, and vice versa. I don't know anyone that is a fan of every FF to a large extent. Maybe played every FF, but not love every FF. I personally like some of the older FFs (7 notably), more refined cast and story, etc. They said one time a while back that if they remade 7 (cause people want that SOOOOO badly) it would cost as much as making a new game, which is true because basically they'd have to remake some of the old models (lol the models were like basic 3D templates compared to their models now). But it's definitely possible because of Advent Children, but as of now that's the closest thing we'll ever get to a FFVII:R (remake or something like that). I guarantee you if they remade VII it would become a huge success though of course with their latest FFs, there's a huge chance of them ruining it as well. It's really give or take and not sure if they're willing to take that risk but it's definitely fans want. I personally want them to make more games like Kingdom Hearts. Honestly, I liked that game. I played 1 and finished 2 - I love that style of RPGs from Japan, the open world style with no turn based action. Honestly I don't play a lot of J-RPGs because I'm not a big fan of turn-based styles (excluding Pokemon). Not sure what ever happened with KH3, they've made other games but KH3 is like a "cased closed" project now. ------- |

To touch on KHIII real quick, it's still on the way. They've been milking it for all they can with all these side story games, though. You can expect KHIII to not be out until at LEAST a time after Final Fantasy XIII VERSUS. The reason being that FFXIII Versus' battle system is suppose to be an example/preview of what the system in KHIII will be. And I love the FF series and all the games [except 11 and 14, which really, they're online MMO's. Don't count them as numbers. Why did you do that, Square Enix?] but XIII was no doubt the low point. I loved the story and visuals, but the linear gameplay ruined it for me (and a lot of fans). Though luckily, they turned things around for 13-2. They just made it too short, and now want to milk it with DLC. The older FFs are amazing. I feel sad for all the gaming fans out there that refuse to play those games because the graphics aren't top of the line. So many of the current generation's gamers refuse to look at anything that isn't top graphics, or a CoD-style game. If they remade VII, I would think it'd sale far beyond anything they've done recently, but I find it hard to imagine them making the people who want it, happy. People fell in love with VII, and still love it. It changed gaming, and was an amazing game. I just have a feeling that even if you remade it with the same story, same locations, same style system, etc, you'd still have to add in things and rework some things to make it work. Otherwise, the game would almost feel incomplete compared to games out there today. I would personally love that, but I'm sure that however they changed things or what they added, there would be fans that hate it and believe it ruined VII. I doubt it would ruin VII, and I'm almost positive I'd love the game as much or more than VII, but I have a feeling the fans would suddenly be filled with rage. Oh, and one more thing on KH, I love the series as well! I can't wait for 3, but I refuse to but the 3D one on the 3DS. Especially since I don't have a 3DS. I did but the PSP game "Birth By Sleep" and the DS game "358/2 Days." Both games were great, especially Birth By Sleep, which is arguably the best game of the series. AND BUDDY, STAY TUNED NEXT WEEK! Swimsuit Serah comes out on Tuesday. And so does the Sazh DLC that lets you see his story and unlock him as a character for your game, and Noel is getting a new costume I don't really like. I'm getting the Sazh DLC. Not sure about the swimsuit, though.. |

If KH3 is free-world open action I'll get it, I didn't play the post-KH2 games though so not sure what the storyline would be. And that ending trailer made it so bizarre and random on how the graphics would be so we'll see. lol I guarantee you that Serah DLC will sell like hot cakes. Do you seriously fight in that and walk around the world? I'll check videos after it comes out! ------- |

LOL Yeah, you walk around the world in that, do cutscenes in it, and battle in it. Since all the cutscenes minus the opening and ending are from the in-game engine, you get to see whatever costumes you have on Noel and Serah. Comes out tomorrow with that Sazh DLC! Not getting the costume, but I'll pick up the Sazh stuffs. and Birth By Sleep was very much like KH2 with the way worlds and stuff worked. You had a lot of freedom, and while there were certain worlds you should prolly goto first, you had the ability to go different routes. For a PSP game, it is (alongside Dissidia and the Star Ocean ports) the best buy I've had on the system. KH3 will be epic, if it gets here, lmao. Milkin' the series for all they can.. |

lol I saw the Serah DLC and it was a different bikini than I thought, not that other plain colored one. Btw, never noticed this but she's incredibly skinny... maybe I thought she wasn't cause she was... "fatter" in other areas... O.o` ;P Funny running around some snow beach in a bikini costume. ------- |
