Metal Gear is about sneaking, not shooting.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

I would rate the Metal Gear series as an undercover third-person shooter. Regardless if it's about sneaking, it's still a shooter. I'd have to say the best shooter is by far either the Resident Evil series or Goldeneye on the N64. Resident Evil has always been good about style and placement of everything, making it a nice and flowing game. Goldeneye is just a classic, plain and simple. The game that started it all if you ask me.  |

Not the best but DMC is good the games weren't that great in general though except one. Bayonetta if you include DMC cause... for obvious reasons... XD RE/GE are classic choices. lol @ MGS is about sneaking, not shooting, wtf is a sneak genre game? ^_^ I have not played the third but of course you have to include Uncharted, one of the best at least coming out of the industry with today's standards of lacking FPSes. You can also technically say Infamous cause you do more "shooting" in that game than actual hand-to-hand melee fighting. You shoot lighting bolts after all. And you gotta love a game you can play through twice and do different things though it was just simple a "good guy" or "bad guy" choice of game but still good, too. Killzone I'm not sure so sure about I don't think I played the first, the second was really successful, however the third had the lamest ending which pretty much confirms a fourth/final title.

| haoie metal gear can be either sneaking or just run in and shoot and resident evil is a good one also so is silent hill and dmc,Goldeneye for its time was brilliant,killzone was not that great to me in my opinion and uncharted was brilliant also resistance if you have ever played it was not that great,mass effect is also really good have yet to beat 3 |

@Siren BC3 hasn't been made yet, although I heard recently it was confirmed so we might get to see it next year or so? They did say they'd eventually get back to the BC series which was great, and I miss the online style of the game. Hoping story mode is good too. They're releasing new DLC for BF3 this Summer, Fall, and Winter, so they're still focusing heavy on BF3 for the time being.

Battlefield 3 for multiplayer. I've only liked Call of Duty Modern Warfare for it's singleplayer. Was never a big fan of their multiplayer game -_-   |

Unreal Tournament & Quake are good shooter games if only their guns have recoils. Well, since majority of all the well-known shooting games have "naughty" crosshairs I guess its not bad to have games like these once in a while.  |
