I really loved the first few Initial D anime and their catchy Eurobeat music. It has been such a long time since the 4th stage aired though that I can't really find the motivation to pick up the new installment. It sort of annoys me when anime companies rekindle an old anime like this right after I closed the book in my mind on it. There have been several anime like that recently. If they are going to release a sequel they should at least do it when it is still fresh in peoples minds (less than a year between seasons). Eight years between seasons is a bit ridiculous though. |
