Why is there no more update in the music section? Where's the full version of Guren no Yumiya and the others? I'm not complaining. I am just asking if the site became somehow inactive. Too bad if that is the case :( |

This is what I'm also asking in the "request list" topic why there's no update until now for this site? the last (music)update is about a month ago(Arata Kangatari OP song is the LAST one) and is the admin or Gendou not around or something so no new songs being added to the site...etc? I hope it's only temporary and we'll get some update SOON, if not, then no point trying to upload songs in here anymore, even if it's being requested... just my thoughts... |

Updates don't happen that often, and they never really have. If you're going to complain because there's no new songs in a month, then please don't post. There is plenty of other music on this site you could try while you wait. You never know what you might like if you randomly click songs you've never heard of. Updates will happen when they happen, so just be patient.  |

I'm not complaining, just "wondering" what happen to this very "active" site, I used to see this site being updated regularly, although sometimes need to wait for a few days/weeks or maybe yah months, but even so, you still get to see a "few" new songs being added once in a while, and not really in complete "silence", you get what I mean? and for me, yah, I've HEARD alot of songs from this site, old or new ones as long as I know about it since I need them for "something", other then that, I'm really just waiting for new songs to appear once in a while and yes, I'm waiting, not really rushing to see it in here right now... just hopping to see some updates, that all. |

| Yeah I was wondering the same tbh the updates use to be pretty regular and never a month without an update. Wonder what's up? |

I can say with certainty that the lack of updates which you describe is because the site is starting to die. Duowolf, Inu, and myself are the only ones in this thread who have SEEN the site when it was at peak activity. Gendou has been around since the early 2000s and it's had a great run. The activity it once had will never come again, no matter how much people want it to or ask for it to. From a staff viewpoint, as a retired member of the moderation team, I can say that most of the Staff has moved on from the site. I rarely ever come back and when I do, it's only to post in a certain topic then I take my leave. The staff team isn't nearly as large as it once was to deal with requests and such effectively anymore. And even if it was, none of us have or had controls over the upload system, that's strictly Gendou's--the admin himself--domain. If he wants the site to slowly decay none of us can say otherwise. Asking for more uploads and requests isn't going to do anything, and that's what a majority of the recent topics are asking for.

Yea I figured that was the case. I didn't wanna think this site would slowly die off. I mean the updates can take about some number of weeks and at the most like a month but activity wise, this site is slowly fading. Sucks because I really like this site  |

| Oh wow. That's too bad. This site is like the ultimate source for Anime OP/IN/EDs. I've been downloading here for two years and keep recommending this site to my friends. Well, if the staffs are moving on because of different reasons then there's nothing we really can do. It's sad but i hope all the staffs and everyone who has been a part of this site the best. i agree w saki, id hate for this site to shut down eventually since this is the only good downloading site i know for anime songs other sites just aren't good enough for me |

I love this site as well and really hope that it won't end up dead/shut down... Although this site have less activity now cos most people go to other places/source for their other much fav.songs to download maybe, but there's still people coming here to look for anime songs and users also still uploading newer songs, so this site can still go on, but the problem is...the admin "Gendou" himself... even if we are trying/helping to keep the site alive for "new" people to visit, but if there's no new update for the site then really nothing we can do... (which means even if we aren't leaving, the admin is kinda chasing us away cos he's just letting the site to die itself, you know what I'm trying to say here...) But yah, I didn't manage to find other good sites for anime songs as well |

Well, if this site is starting to die then where can I go for music, I've been a member since 2006 and I've been frequenting the site ever since for music (never forum) and this long ass update time with no reason as to why is starting irritate me. Anyone know a good alternative that isn't slowly dying ? |

I've been wondering about this too and it will be sad if the site is dying. I've been a member for quite a long time and Gendou is my main site for downloading anime songs. I know that I can download songs from other site but as an old member I would always prefer to download here. Hope that this site will be more "lively" like before. |

So we cant' find a new site because it's against the rules If this site is dying then why should it matter, there is a ton of music from the previous season that should have been posted and it's becoming irritating that it's not been posted here because at least here I know it's all legit, full length and good quality. |
