Has anyone bought it yet? I think it is really to femenine. Guys like the manga in there too and the stupid fashion articles ruin it.

Yes, I bought it too; It is a bit overly feminine, but the manga is pretty good, worth buying, and I really don't mind the fashion articles, as long as they keep it taking up just a few pages at the front, as they currently do; But I must say, what *F@$*% me off was the stupid *CONSTANT* plugging of the Shojo Beat magazine in the tiny text at the bottom of *EVERY OTHER* page!!! (For those who haven't seen it yet, they would take a quote that a character said on the page of the manga, and rephrase it into a "To be trendy & chic, rush to the store & buy Shojobeat manga" kind of phrase, and put it at the bottom of the page, in the white-space). It was ***INSANELY ANNOYING***!!!, and a *VERY* _shameless_ and extremely _tacky_ way of advertising a magazine that isn't even well-known yet, this being it's first issue. Again, don't get me wrong, the Shojo Beat publication is really worth picking up if you're into Shojo manga, and don't mind a fashion article or two at the very beginning of the book, but if they don't stop plugging their own "trendiness" and their website at the bottom of every freaking page, using cheezy phrases from every page of the manga, then I'll either stop buying it, or have to start up a campaign to make them realize how sleazy that looks! (End of Rant) :D |

Shonen Jump sorta does the same thing but for them it's less annoying, sometimes the things they say are even funny. But you're, right it is tacky if you stop to notice it 'cause I guess I'm just a bit oblivious 'cause I did'nt notice a thing. he he ~~

| I've never actually read a Shonen Jump, so I guess I didn't realize that was normal :/ It wouldn't be so annoying if they did it 2 or 3 times in the book, but I dunno, every other page almost, is just waaay too much plugging for one magazine :) I'll have to go actually look at a Shonen Jump today to see how bad they do this, too! |

What I don't understand is how come you guys are still reading after the pictures stop. Just read the comic and turn the page. You make it sound as though some inhuman force is controling you and making you read every word on the page. Do you take note of the page number too?

To Seraphim: Sometimes the editors make notes about some of the Japanese connotations so those not familiar with the culture will understand. And I don't wanna miss anything. Which is why. So, don't get snappy at us.
