Favorite Alchemist

Who do you think that your favorite alchemist is in Fullmetal Alchemist? My personal favorite is Alex Armstrong. During the Ishval civil war, he actually attempted to free some of the Ishvaluns. He is also great comedic relief, especially when he becomes friends with Inari's husband through his muscles. His youngest sister is also hilarious, and he is a great artist. I thought there was another thread like this, but I cannot find it, so never mind.

I guess the human sacrifices (Edward, Alphonse, Hohenheim, Izumi, and Roy) are exempt because of their strength. In lieu of those five, I suppose my favorite would be ~~Shou Tucker~~ May Chang, from the manga and Brotherhood. If I remember right, she is the only Xingese heir who appears in the series to use alchemy/alkahestry. I like May because she does not usually fight with her alchemy, preferring to use it for medicine and healing, or for enhancing her physical combat abilities, like throwing knives and martial arts. She is kind of a support character, great as both a long-distance fighter (her knife-throwing range is incredibly impressive) and a medic/healer. I appreciate how she is seeking out the Philosopher's Stone to acquire immortality not for herself but for the King of Xing, in order for her clan rise from poverty. She manages to befriend the two least social characters in the series, Scar and Marcoh, and marries Al and becomes friends with Ling and Lan from a rival clan, all while taking care of her undergrown panda. A pretty badass supporting character, and probably my favorite female in this series.

Mystia, there's a really old thread titled "Favorite character in FMA" so you're not wrong, it's just not this particular subject.

While we're on the matter, I'd have to say..Roy? It's been a long time since I've seen it. The guy who's the commander or whatever in the military. Uses fire or something, I forgot. All I remember is that I like him.
