Why did you stop adding music?

This is not a finger pointing session, but the music hasn't been updated in about 5 months. This site used to be AMAZING, but now it is like you have completely forgotten what got you started. It is kinda sad, since I have donated in the past and recommended this site to several people who are fans. Unfortunately, most who have visited have stated that since they never add anything, it is a wasted site now... I realize that the owners have lives, but when you lose your core, keeping subscribers becomes a difficult task. Sorry for the rant. |

Are you kidding? Did you not see the announcement on the front page? I know they've been slow lately, but, yeah, holidays. It's to be expected. Read the home page before thinking nothing is happening. I've been updating music a lot lately. It's you that hasn't been noticing. |

| I for one have good patience so I don't really mind the song coming along slow :) I think if more people help with the good quality music uploading in the request list then things would probably be better :D |

According to what I can see on my browser, only 12 songs have been posted this year (as of 2015/06/08). That's 2 songs per month. I have no issues with you not giving a rat's a@$ about this site. What I think is highly selfish is that you won't allow people to discuss alternatives so we can receive a quality service elsewhere. I want to find a site that was a good as Gendou was 5+ years ago. |

I won't allow it because it's not my decision. You can be mad at me all you like, but I do not own the site. You will find a site that has uploads again starting shortly after the 13th. That's when I move into my new place. Once I get set up there and have internet again (I'm typing this at work) then I will start uploading again very regularly. You will very soon have the site back that you had 5+ years ago, at least in terms of music and uploads. Please be a little more patient. Just another two weeks AT MOST for music to come back regularly. |

As an update to the home page post, it is looking like next Monday will be my first day off that I will have available. That being said, I plan on taking that night just uploading and uploading. Like I said, my goal is 30, but hopefully I can get more out during that time. |

| Any update on this? Seen 20 songs come out since the last post (with 14 of them being within a month of it). Was hoping the site would be back to how it used to be by now. We were promised that we'd be getting regular updates again soon, and that was back in the first few days of July. |

I was also curious on the progress for new music uploads. Been waiting awhile, im in no real hurry though. I miss checking out all the new song releases, if there isn't going to be a more releases here, would anyone know of an active alternative?

(I'm just going to be the bad guy here, cos really, SOMEONE need to ask these someday sooner or later, not through PM! just plain waiting isn't going to help. No offence here and sorry for the long post, just speaking my mind and thoughts, if you want to prove me that I'm wrong, then LET ME SEE "SOME ACTION!" I can understand reasons as of "WHY it isn't happening" for no matter how long it can be, but NOT for "empty promises", if you can't make it come true, then don't give people PROMISE on THIS or THAT in the first place as you should have known yourself that you just can't do it! even if you can, it's not going to last at all!) Anyway, still waiting for SOME answers be posted in public to appear though, but still not hearing or seeing any NEWS or UPDATES from Inu..., and I do notice that you're visiting gendou at least once mostly everyday, so just in case, do you remember what you POSTED in the HOME page about "upload everyday? let's hope so"? You're opening the page at least ONCE mostly everyday even till now but NOT EVEN ONE SONG has being added...LOL your "1st promise" has being washed down the drain, only last for about 3-5 days in the starting as I remember? I can see that it's NOT happening anymore 100% for sure. about "updates on music uploads" your "2nd promise", issue about moving states and having no internet connection, don't tell me still NOT SOLVED YET!? I'm sure you have solved it already, so we DID get about 14 new songs being uploaded to the site although having a slight delay, but you mention your goal is to upload about 30 songs, get READY FOR IT! right? Almost EVERYONE I'm sure that got ready for it and we clearly saw that you "FAIL" again and still haven't complete it till now, another promise down the drain... also..., No OFF DAYS until NOW? = No Time to add songs? LOL your "3rd promise", upload WILL CONTINUE at a regular pace SOON, and we will be getting the gendou site we used to see 5+ years ago, at least in terms of music and uploads (your post can still be seen just by scrolling UP here, LOL) people is requesting 2 songs regularly almost every day, I do believe that people mostly also HELP in uploading the requested songs as long as they have it, so it's keeping updated in terms of music and uploads, but it's POINTLESS if no one else can add them into the site at all. and as we all can SEE now, the "regular pace" we're still waiting for after July 13th + 2 weeks later is from EAGERLY WAITING EVERYDAY -> ok, still kinda adding it seems -> ooookaaayyyy, better then nothing -> NOTHING AT ALL! and here goes the 3rd promise... *roll it up and burn it away like nothing ever happen* kinda wonder why when people ask about is this site is still alive or just TOTALLY DEAD, you will reply and claim that it is still ALIVE. but wonder why don't you just admit the site is usually 99.99999999% DEAD? only alive for that 0.1% when you're FREE to add songs randomly? Just tell people the truth: "yes it's alive, if you want to look for old anime songs (as long as it's still available here and not removed), this is a good place to look for, but if you want mostly every seasons anime NEW SONGS, try your luck elsewhere would be a much better choice rather then waiting here!" PS: anyway..., now wonder will my post get EDITED or DELETED or not... if it does then I can clearly see the answer, no more answer needed. |

Look, guys. I have a life as well. I work over 50 hours a week, and when I get the time to upload music, I forget because I'm so tired all the time. I can't sleep often because my cat keeps me awake, and a lot of the songs that people have voted for and are on the request list either haven't been uploaded or have no legitimate sale number for them. Yes I get on every day, mainly to check for spam that has reached the forums. There's quite a bit that's deleted, believe it or not. You don't see it because it's being taken care of quickly by either me or other moderation members. Yes I have internet now, and yes I use it all the time. No I don't upload songs often, but that's often because I can't find them or I simply forget because I'm so tired and just want to sleep all the time. I know I'm being a little mean here, but you guys are complaining an awful lot about a FREE website. I will upload when I'm not super tired or I actually remember to get on with it while I have free time at work. But often enough I don't get that free time because, alas, it's work. I have to work, afterall. And then when I get home, I get in bed and my cat keeps me up and the cycle continues. I won't promise anything except that I will do what I can, when I can. People PM me all the time thanking me for being here, and you guys are here on the forums complaining about something you're not paying for. No your post will not be edited or deleted, as I'm not that petty. I don't believe I've ever done that, in fact, except to delete spam. Yes the site is dying, but people still come here for what is here because they like the people that are still around. That doesn't mean the site is dead though. How about instead of saying it's dying, help bring it back to life by telling your friends to join the forums, or you yourself joining forums? There are still a decent amount of posts and discussions that go through you know. We all have lives we want to live, and I like spending mine doing what I love doing. I will continue uploading music as I remember, and I'm sorry that it has been so long since I have uploaded. |

SOMEONE needs to be the bad guy here (and that's me), just for the sake of hopping to get some reply, and sorry for the long post again...) come on, I have cats too and more then 1, the female ones always meow meow meow so loudly everyday and night and it's almost non-stop throughout everyday, I can still manage to SLEEP under all those noises UNLESS the cats are fighting a war in the house then that is the kind of noises you definitely will hear and CAN'T even get to sleep. Does your cat give you a world war II experience every day when you want to sleep? *cough* Anyway, like I said, I UNDERSTAND WHY update isn't happening, and not only me, I'm sure other people who still use this site will keep waiting no matter how long it takes, as long as new music will keep adding......ok, don't say regularly now, even if it's only 1 song PER month only, people will still be happy cos the site still have something "NEW" once in a while. But sadly as we can see, mostly not EVEN 1 NEW SONGS can be seen... 1) You said that "alot of songs are voted and requested but it's either not uploaded or having the legitimate sale number." A) Sorry, how do WE know? I can see what songs are requested, what songs are voted for, what songs are consider ACTIVE (but really don't know ACTIVE for WHAT!? O.ol'l), but I CAN'T see what songs wasn't uploaded, you didn't said this before! We can't see the things only staff member can see, right? and people isn't helping to upload is also because of seeing what's happening to the site, what's the point of uploading if NO ONE can add them to the site for others to use later? and you mention before you need to check the name and file size, so if alot of people upload and every file is the same, you can TRUST IT without any problem then release it to the site. so that means this part isn't happening from what you can see thus you can't add them as well, is it? while on the other hand for example, I REQUESTED 2 songs, CHECKED the 2 songs, UPLOADED the 2 songs, added every infos you need for THAT anime series and you CAN add them to the site without any problem and STILL in PENDING nearly a YEAR now, how come I didn't see you add them then? not that the songs isn't uploaded properly right? (oh yah I forgot, only 4 votes and maybe only ME upload it, you can't check it with other files just to make sure it's OK so it won't be added anyway..., so this mean you actually personally forfeit something which you CAN ADD without any problem just because of the BLOODY VOTES since you mention before you're adding songs base on the votes...) and...why do you need these "legitimate sale number" anyway? does it really matter that much? I don't think people mostly would go that far to different information sites just help to see and add the data about what the "legitimate sale number" is..., I tried to look into these before and I notice that it's a pain to search for these infos... 3) Yes I have internet now, and yes I use it all the time. A) I have my reasons pointing out about maybe the post will gets edited or deleted, which is why I mention if this actually happen, I can already figure WHY and thus no more reply is needed, I didn't say that it is you that might edit or delete it, just pointing out a fact that maybe most people DOESN'T LIKE hearing the truth/facts and end up maybe...BAN from the site. anyway, back to topic again, This is the time I (or we) have headaches... posting new threads = what's there to talk about? posting on Q and A = people only help if they know it, others can't help much if you don't even know... posting on Animes = other then discussing about the series, like or dislike, what else? posting on Music = talk about old songs mostly no one is interested, can't request songs there cos you already have a request song section (although only can request 2 songs which is really useless if you want to request more.) Can't share songs there too cos the site don't allow (other then PM) Can't share other site's link cos the site don't allow too (other then PM), what else to talk then??? posting on the other section is pretty much the same thing, so how can US revive the forum? remember some people actually complaining about reviving SPAM threads or some other long dead threads years later? it's also a part of REVIVING something in here, SPAM threads is the easiest to post, but I don't think alot of people would like seeing these popping up day and night... So mostly, other then posting about these "feel like complaining" post which is the most "reality base one" and the most people would like to know some answers like me, what else can you post? And by posting this kind of post, you guys might not like it then WHAT ELSE we should post then!? PS: *sigh* and you just make another "promise" again... you really should just say that "I will upload only when time is fully allowed and possible on my side, other then that, sorry for the lack of updates and long wait everytime, guys." |
