I have FF7 & FF8 on PC, and though it's been a few years since I played through them, I don't recall anything significantly special on the PC versions... And FF9 wasn't ever released on PC; (which is why I bought a PS!! :) The best thing about them being on PC was "edit-ability", such as editing your save games, etc, with programs people have written for this puppose... Assuming you're into using cheat codes, it's overall easier on PC, because you don't have to have a gameshark or similar device, just any old "trainer" program from the web; |

I have FF8 for PC, and its only a bit better in graphics and sound quality than the PS one, and it also allowed you to play the chocobo minigame to get items. |

The computer version of VII had better sound/graphic quality and a few more non-important FMVs. |

i have played ff7 and ff9 on pc via an emulator and these are the two things that made it good: 1. better graphics 2. has a save state function which enables you to save anywhere so you can go back if ever you forgot to do something...also handy in cases when your cd hangs ;p |

You must be getting mixed up umboito, FF7 for the computer had terrible video and only ran off of .midi sound compared to playstations .mp3 equivalents.

I think it would be better if squre convert final fantasy into pc game. if we play in pc without emulator, the quality will be better than with emulator. Like FF 8. By the way, is the FF 10 can be played in pc. |

FF7 played it on PC version. (I love this game) FF8 played it on PC Version. (you can play chocobo world for rare items. some items allows you to summon mini mog, moogle and chocobo.) FF9 playing it using emulator. Stopped playing because of a stupid game called Ragnarok Online(Somebody Stop Me from playing that stupid game). |

Yeah, as has been mentioned, FF7 was for PC, though the Midi sound kind of sucked... Somehow the PS sounded better... FF8 was for PC, and rocked, with a few extra mini-games, but not all that worth it... The only other benefit to playing them for PC was the ease of "cheating", using the various Trainer programs on the net... (Eg: Giving Cloud all the Materia, 9999 life, etc....) (Sidenote: The only reason I would use such cheating, would be to properly experience the thrilling stories, and experience everything the game has to offer, rather than wasting my life away gaining one level or trying for days to beat a boss or find some obscure item) FF9+ were never released for PC, and I had bought a PS2 just to properly play them! Well worth it! |
