As many of you know, there is a number of new shows being brought over to America to air on cable and local channels, such as Naruto, Bo^7, IGPX, Magical Do Re Mi, Hikaru no Go, Evangelion and the anime version of the power puff girls titled "Dameshitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z!". Every one of these titles are expected to be aired by November 2005. I was just wondering what it is you think about all of these new releases regarding voice acting, edits, and the time they will be airing. (by the way ALL of this information is accurate the PPGirls release was not an April fools joke as originally thought)

I think it's good to make animes world wird, but usually they edit it too much when dubbed... The story is probably still the same but you don't get the true feeling of these animes.

Actually, I really dislike dubbed anime. The most one can do to the anime is give subs to it. By changing the character's voice is like changing their character. You know that there'll be scenes cut out because it's not "suitable" for the society in America. I just hope that none of those animes turn into the Yu-Gi-Oh symptom.

I often dislike watching anime on TV myself...I hate american voice overs...for instance: In the dub of Gundam Seed, Kira sounds like Ironhide in Transformers Energon... The only reasony WHY I would watch anime on TV is for long-running series, series that are like..100 episodes + IE: Dragon Ball, Inuyasha, or Yu-Gi-Oh! |

| I prefer subbing much more, but if the dubbing is good, it wouldnt be that bad. Im european, but I did watch some animes on DVD with american dubbing (akira, ninjascroll, etc), and the ones that did those dubbings do the worst job I've ever seen on animes, Im not talking about the editing(which is just stupid), the voice acting just sucks really bad, they cant seem to emote their feelings through voice. |

most of the time i watch anime subbed. the dubbing on some anime just flat out sucks. - -

i hate the english voices...they totally destroy the anime! dubbed anime usually sucks

| Argh. I just want to throw tomatoes at the screen when I see English anime. Otherwise I just want to throw up. I agree with Urchin. Changing the character's voices is just like changing their personality. It's very rare that you can find good anime dubs. |

... i don;t know what the ehck they'd do with the powerpuff girls Z one.. (i have no idea who's doing the voice acting) it jsut better be the normal voices they have for the original powerpuffgirls show ebcause if its other than that then the show would seem kinda weird >__> i think its safe to say that naruto will definitly be the next inuyasha (but then again i thought FMA would.. but ti seems its popularity ahsn;t quite boomed yet) i;m not sure how the dub for it will go since the voice actors are pretty inexperienced, most of them being producers. but then again for some reason they are picking all the minor characters first (kakashi, hinata etc) theyre doing evangelion? O__o but the craze is kinda over already.. i know everyone is really beefed with dubs but do give them a chance, i admit theyre are alot of messed up ones but some are pretty decent (take the fma one for example, i think it turned out well although they cut the ending theme too short) they ARE trying to get better and evolving (not 4kids tv..)

C'mon, if u hate dubbed version so much, go buy the anime DVD & relieve yourself to hearing the Japanese voice! Yup, i agree Japanese voice actors/seiyuu are much more talented than English seiyuu. But, there are some good English seiyuu whom i can't deny their talent! Anime & manga is such a big industry in Japan, so no wonder even seiyuu do their jobs really great!  |

| One problem the English seiyuu have is to try sinchronize their voices with the mouths of the anime characters that are adapted to the japanese language, so I guess its a bit harder for them to do a good job than the Japanese seiyuu |

o i dont really like the us version anime... the voices kinda really suck...and well if it's those japanese anime the drawings are fine, but no offence but the us animes suck.....seriosly...

It's alright, depending on what series you're watching. I like the english version of Inuyasha becuase most of the voice actors have done previous anime I have watched before. Now if you've seen the original japanese version, then you've got a problem. I just hate it when the U.S. changes the sexual orientation of a character because it's inappropriate for the kids to watch. Well news flash, nost anime isn't for kids so deal with in america!

Hope Cartoon Network does a better job on Naruto than on One Piece. Even the Manga for One Piece is better than the show. Even though i never saw the anime for One Piece, the dubbing could be better. They also cut off the blood on One Piece which makes it bad. Instead of airing Naruto on Toonami, I would perfer on Adult Swim. |

the dubbed version of One Piece suck sooo much. You know the cigarett Sanji smokes? guess what? ITS A LOLIPOP WTF? and they took of the bleeding. you see no bleeding whatsoever. |

The real problem lies in the dubbing company, they don't put forth enough effort to find the perfect English speaking match. They are too cheap to pay for someone who knows what they are doing because they still see the anime market as a place for kids and perverted men. But they are getting better, Inu Yasha and Full Metal Alchemist prove as much.
