Ranma no Baka?

ok..I was thinking..Baka can mean numerous things..fool, stupid, etc. is that what it means in this song..or does anyone know? also if this is in the wrong section...then my appoligies to everyone. I am newer to the boards here. |

"Ranma no baka" means "Ranma is stupid". The particle, "no" in this case, is the posessive. In other words, ranma posesses stupidity. This is a strange use of the particle "no" and maybe a native speaker could explain it better than i can.

well... if you say to someone, "whoever no baka!" it's means "you're stupid whoever!" for example: "Mei no baka!" from Totoro "Inuyasha no baka!" from Inuyasha, first movie and so forth. i also find it's usually folled with, "mou shiranai!" which means, "i don't know what to do with you anymore/ care about you anymore." hope this helps.

It means like "Ranma, you idiot!", like ruri-chan said. As for the lyrics - Akane is mad at Ranma and is saying "be clear of your gender, and be clear as to whether or not you like me" and several other (bad) things about him. |

Uhm does it not mean "Foolishness of Ranma" Ranma is stupid = ランマã¯é¦¬é¹¿ã§ã™ã€‚(Ranma wa baka desu) Well I will ask my Japanese friend about this, but i think i am right here...

Meh, it could but VIZ usually translates it as Ranma, you idiot! But VIZ still has yet to know they spelt Tessaiga wrong.

Well.. it just depends on your interpritation of baka... it would be "Ranma is ___", not "____ of Ranma." though btw

It mostly means Ranma, you idiot! Kaoru says the same thing to Kenshin in RK. ^_^V |
