Lupin III question

When I went to Germany about 4 years ago, I first saw Lupin III on MTV at night. I really like it, especially the theme song that was in German. When I left Germany, it was some time before I saw anything related to Lupin. Then when I saw a trailer for Lupin III, I saw that the art seemed kinda old compared to what I saw before and it wasnt the same. Is it possible that it was a different Lupin that I saw? What I seen of the series, there was one part where a woman reconized Jigen as a man who killed her father years ago and wanted to get revenge. Goemon was shot at one point and fell off a cliff near the ocean and thought to have died, but the reason why he didn't was because his sword helped block the bullet a bit before he fell. In the end, the girl whose father Jigen killed dies and Zenigata's still after Lupin. The animation was kinda of different than that of the screenshots seen at lupinofficial.com. The difference I guess was the coloring and that everything was kinda darker. The main thing is I want to find out what the name of the opening theme song was. Thank you for any help!

You may have seen one of the Lupin movies in Germany. Anime movies tend to have higher budget per episode (in this case, film) ratios than their TV counterparts, so they're frequently drawn more meticulously and have better details and shadowing. That's my guess. About the theme song, sorry can't help you there.

What you saw was the Lupin TV special "Orders to Assassinate Lupin". It's been realeased in America as "Voyage to Danger", and it does have better graphics than the TV series currently playing on Adult Swim.
The theme song was probably changed to better fit with the audiance in Germany.
