There was 2 kind imported or downloaded anime 1. Anime Japan language with Subtitle 2. Anime With dubbing, translate and dubbed to our language I think anime with subtitle more expresive than dubbed anime... There some reason why I much like anime with subtitle : 1. A japan language is good to hear 2. anime with Subtitle more cheaper than anime with dub 3. Japan seiyuu is more expresive than local seiyuu how about your Opinion ? |

Subtitles, don't mind a lot. Dubbed, depends on who was involved. |

Subtitles. ^_^ |
Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

Yup I think subtitle is much better then dub for you see the originality of the anime and the the true expresion of the characters, But jerc is right it also depend on how is dubbing the show I watch animax channel and the dub of midori no hibi is great but i also hear there voices on other anime in the channel and i get bored of thesame voice for the whole day and anime girl voices are cute, but I don't mind dub like samurai X dub is also great, but most anime diehards love sub |
Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

Dub if I'm too lazy to read the subtitles and look at the anime at the same time. Sub if I actually want to find out what the real script is, which they hardly show in the dub version. ![]() |

Definitely subtitles. Dubs suck, either they have horrible grammar or horrible voices!! yeck >_< |
Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

I would choose subtitles. Sometimes dubs don't have good voices and the voice didn't give a soul to the character

Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

English Subtitles helps us to understand Japanese transcripts esp. .in anime. (this is for those who can't understand Japanese). but for those who can speak and write Japanese perfectly, then, of course , they don't need to use that. |
Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

I'd go for subtitles, not only do they make me read faster, I also get to hear the anime characters' real and cute voices!!! |
Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

I'do go for subtitles too, but I dont agree with what you said kawaii_ryu, Japanese Seyuu arent better nor more expressive than my local Seyuu ^_^ |

i'd go with the subtitles...good for learning japanese...i've learned quite a lot by watching animé subtitled shows. and sometimes i don't need any subtitles to understand it ^_^ makes me proud a little bit... but if i'm really sleepy and my eyes are worn out i watched the dubbed version and just listen to them...i also agree that some english dubbers are good though. i think they did a good job in Rurounin Kenshin...well, except for Misao's voice...her english voice is seems too boyish but when you hear Tomo Sakurai's voice, it's much more better.(Now you could really say that Misao is an 18 year old young woman) ![]() |

Either Sub or Dub is fine with me. Usually Subs. are better, but in the long run I can watch either and be fine with them. ^_^ Nii!! >.<
Yo, Bleach is awesome!!

Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

kiki, Japanese seyuu may be better than english seyuu, but arent much better than the portuguese seyuu, In Portugal most of the programs that runs here are foreigns, so most of our programs are either subbed or dubbed |
Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing
|
definately subs are better... |
Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

I'd rather watch the dub. Japanese music is okay but the speaking...well. The only reason I would watch a dubbed series is to see how it was before it was edited.

I like the subtitle tha~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~n the dubbing! I hate the dub!!! Sub is good cos you can hear the chara speaks in Japanese and learns them and if u don't understand you can look at the sub! That is the good way!!

i prefer dubbed because the subtitled is worded wierd
trying is the first step towards failure

Re: Subtitle VS Dubbing

The originals are always the best that is the original voices and language of the anime. So i say the subtitles are the best since most of us dont know japanese. However a good show can always be spoiled by bad subtitles. For example, the Inuyasha vcds which i bought have terrible subtitles. U can find tons of grammatical errors throughout the whole show(series) plus they keep changing the names of the characters especially Kagome(why cant they just leave the names alone!). |
