Which better > Digital Anime or Manual Anime

Digital tech grow so fast, like flash movie and anime built by CG programs but some anime which draw with Hand is give us a different feel how your comment ? |

Sometimes, the CG just dont feel right.. But I like them both. If I have to choose, I choose the hand-drawen. |

Hand draw too. Kinda unbelieveable but I really feel something different when I watch hand drawn anime |

Digital Anime is presented and looks better. Hand drawn anime has hard work, blood and sweat behind each line and each colour. However, drawing is inconsistent, yet you know that someone has put their heart and soul into the anime and that makes it worth while. It depends really. Would you rather watch something that looks better with less effort, or watch something that doesn't look that great but people have put their hard work into it?

I can't be certain, but I am pretty sure that there are certain subtle presentation differences as well. For example, with the case of hand drawn anime, there tends to be those pauses with frozen shots of a singular frame. This is especially true with say Madlax or Noir, where you have a singular frame of a person's expression in order to reinforce their emotions or to underscore some part of the plot. That is often absent in CG work. Personally, I reckon a mix of the two is good, but only when the CG mixes well with the hand drawn work. Take for example Gundam SEED. CG is quite evident in the shots of some of the spaceships and their motion in space. These don't blend in that well with the graphics of the hand drawn work. On the other hand, Full Metal Panic has quite good CG blend with their hand drawn work, in particular involving the submarine. I guess what I am saying is that for CG to work well with hand drawn work, there must be a consistent standard where the effort is put in to make the CG complement rather than contrast the hand drawn work. After all, anime is all about drawing! |

of course the new one its better than last one (^^) |
Re: Which better > Digital Anime or Manual Anime

also depends on the theme of the anime. |

Pure digital animation has a sort of artificial feel to it (that's what I think anyway). I like a mix of CG and hand-drawn--a really good example of that is Last Exile. Pure hand-drawn is also good, especially Miyazaki's films (did you know that he absolutely refuses to use CG). |

i agree with oldcrow. digital animation has its good points. however, if the elements in the design do not correspond or, in layman's terms, do not mix, the result is a disappointing creation. digital animation is somehow faster, in terms of making. Hand-drawn, is the basic element, even for digital animation. although it takes time, the quality depends on the creator-artists. just my opinion. it's just as i see it. *blip* *blip* |

one example of cg anime i have seen is SD gundam force. digimation technique is also employed in final fantasy unlimited and other mecha-anime shows. *blip* *blip* |
