Anybody ever get hurt on DDR?

Let me see... I almost broke my ankle... I twisted my ankle... I feel out from exhaustion... I slipped off the pad... ...need i go on...:(

I sprained my ankle before on it and falled and got an evil bruse on my shoulder cause I fell into the TV ... ^^;
I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real

I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried

YES!!! I was with my friends, and I was playing Rhythm Police. Usually, I'm the type of person that does those weird moves on DDR, like jumping over the bar that ppl usually hold onto, or like suddenly stop looking at the arrows and just going by memory. Well, one of my friends was like, "Do the matrix walk!" The matrix walk is when you run on top of the buttons on the machine. It is an illegal thing to do in arcades, mainly because it can break the machine. By doing it you WILL be kicked out of the arcade. Well, the arcade that I went to wasn't so strict so I tried it and I littlerally fell on my ass. Injury number two would be when jumping on the left and right arrow at once. Part of my routine was to drop on my knees, it looks really cool, but I dropped a little too fast and it caused a shock to my knees. I couldn't walk properly for like 4 days. Now let's get out of the arcade and into at home DDR. Do not play ddr unless you tape or screwdrive the pad onto the floor. Cause I was goong heavy on one of the songs and the pad shifted and I landed on my elbow. DDR is violent. It doesn't just break your legs but every other part of your body.

| I've never gotten hurt at the arcade versions of DDR. But when it comes to the pads, I slipped of once or twice. It didn't hurt too much since I was laughing and had a good time. Aua aua... |

well. yes. i tripped over the mat once because i was to absorbed in the game that i didn't notice that my feet were no longer in the right place. <3tt

I broke my spine... and my skull.... and my heart stopped for a couple minutes.. so now i use a wheelchair... and use a bag to help me go to the bathroom jk ^___^

my old roommate had a metal pad with bolts that stuck out alot. playing on that pad barefoot can leave you pretty sore on the balls of your feet!

ive never seen a metal pad before.... but since its metal, you can use shoes right?

yep, you use shoes. its a custom made pad, kind of janky.

| i was playing so ddep on doubles heavy once on real dusty pad at the arcade. i got to the left side and slipped of the pad hitting my elbow on the metal. |

I think I have fallen off pretty much every pad I have ever played on. Both of my redoctane pads (both broken now), my friend's metal redoctane, arcade pads at the mall, celebration station, six flags over georgia, and anywhere else. at six flags, when i fell off i twisted my ankle and limped around the park with my friend for about half an hour until we found ourselves back at the arcade and i played some more. :P |

hey psplayer, that happended to me once. the aarcade games are way more dangerous than anything else. I mean it, like the metl pads hurt, and wen you trip its off the pad and etiher onto the floor oro the metal railing XD at home, the carpets protet more XD
Its So dark in here... oh I left my hood on...

actually yesterday, i was playing exotic ethinic on an extreme machine, and less than 10 notes into the song my left shoe flew off and i had to play barefoot with my left foot for the rest of the song. it hurt soo bad, but i still got a B. |
