Anime Collection Bragging Rights?

| I feel that this is a good as place as any to share my anime collection. My DVD only collection is worth $10,000. These are not bootleg or imported, but pure American DVD's and boxsets. It took me six yrs. to amass this collection and it is still growing. Just wondering if anybody can match my collection or beat it? |

| Not only does me collection have over $8,000 of DVDs but I also have mass amounts downloaded anime on my computer that has taken months and months of time to download. I know that there are probably others that can beat me but I am happy with my collections. Oh yeah cd wise all pirate music. SO that don't count. Manga like a book store. Shelves and shelves of it. And a bunch of other stuff. Figures, cosplay stuff, stuff. |

my collection is worth $20 cuz i only bought 1 DVD but i have a lot of bleach eps on my comp. i would buy it if it was released in the US....

WOW!O_O $10,000!!!That's BIG! Mine is just about $418.50...just for 29 Anime dvds, 2 soundtracks, 4 mangas and 1 action figure and no bootleg...it's too little to brag, isn't it? well, that's because i'm just starting... but if you ask me to combine it with my games that's a different story...My animé and games are worth $751.38 and all of it without tax...still little for you? oh yeah, i do have some bootleg dvds...because the US didn't liscensed them and those shows were almost gone now... well, that's all about my collection...but it's still growing because i have other plans for them. MUWAHAHAHHA!!!!(laughs evilly....)Erm...*coughs* sorry, I over-reacted...well bye for now...  ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

All of my anime CDs and DVDs are pirates, so I can't brag about the price... My country is the best when it comes to piracy things... lol Now I have 59 series of anime. The last I counted it when I have only 37 series and total 459 CDs... I think I've already sold my house if all of that is original!

| Wow $10,000 that a lot but I'm getting there I'm at around $7,000 with in 2 years and no boutlegs too. ^_^ if i include the bootlegs it would go well over $10,000! So I'm sure i can match you 6205 soon enough. |

| I don't exactly know, HOW MUCH I've spent... I have over 150-200 mangas (count 'em at $10-$12 each, roughly), a good 150 dvds, excluding the 20 boxsets I've got... I also have a MASSIVE collection of dolls, posters, cards and postcards, pins, cds... Damn, I think I may've spent WELL OVER $10,000... |

Lets see *Quickly grabs the list off his wall* 302 anime DVD's, not including 12 Bootlegs and 5 Miyazaki import DVD's, plus about 35 graphic novels, 130 VHS, 14 CDs (Not bootlegged, 4 actual Japanese Imports the other 9 are Geneon CD's)a little over 2 years of Newtype USA Issues. every NA issue of Shonen Jump and multiple wall scrolls and posters. Yes I cant forget my Capsule and Plush toys.... I think,... scratch that I KNOW I have spent alot of $ on anime, but I love it so. 6205 one day we should post our ENTIRE collection of DVD's on the forum to let them know just how much we have *evil grin* But this is one of the perks of working full time and only paying minimal life expenses. ( I have about $300 CDN (About 5-7 discs a month based on an average price of 25 USD (31 CDN) a disc and my monthly issue of Newtype USA and BiWeekly Graphic Novel purchase) a month to spend on anime, it would be more of I dint play RPG's or Magic, but I digress) |

you know whats wierd? i am an animaniac and i Dont have dvd's manga's or anything like that exept for musics i downloaded here(thanks gendou)

Okay people... I think this is it... This is a competition... lol I envy soatome... You're working full time and can use your money for the CDs snd DVDs... I'm just a student that always ask my parents for this and that... lol

| I Totally Agree with Razz Veilansher. It isnt about the how much you spent but how much you love it....no wait but if you spent alot of money on anime that means you must love it alot. The amount you waste is how much you love your anime.....and for people to know you love anime alot you must brag about how much you have... Ok then my anime is only worth about $500 and all american DVD's. It might not be as impressive but its a bit different. Each of those DVD's are autographed by the Creators. I LOVE THOSE PEOPLE!!! Especially my R.O.D Collection. That was all autographed by the whole Voice acting Cast at the Anime Expo 2005. Any go there? |

definitely agreed! a real competition... FTY, i used to do that too. I mean before i don't use up all my money for dvds since it was hard for me to get dvds in our country and only downloaded music from different sites and here...but since i moved to the US i have finally been able to collect them! ^_^ and "H" i can feel your pain...I'm also a student who tries to save his/her allowance for animés and it does comes from my parents as well. Money is really hard at this time and age...we should know how to budget ourselves. i both agree with you Ryu and Razz Veilansher. It's how much you love your animés...for me I only buy DVDs which I truly adore, devoted and love and worthy enough for my taste. ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

| I agree with you Rujz it's not like I buy my DVD's just to brag (although it is a bonus.) I love all the DVD's I buy which is why I bought them. This also leads to money shortages due to over spending. One time I bought 15 Inuyasha DVD's at once and then the week after I bought the first season of Saiyuki all six disc individually. Oh and Saotome, it's nice to see I'm not alone is my collecting, but look out because I just started 3 new series. |

| I only spend like $100 a month on DVD's but ive got like 11 dif series going at once right now....... so sometimes it changes. I only own roughly aroung 200 dvds. |
